"Settle down students, your Calculus test starts in five minutes!"Mr Thorntow, our maths teacher's voice booms across the class.
I could hear the groans and murmurs of the students as they settle down for their tests. This was it.The test that I have been studying my butt off for a while now.
It better be worth it.
I scan the class for my friends and see Amy. She meets my gaze, smiles and gives me a thumbs up,I do the same.
Five minutes into the test, the door opens noisily and in walks Gage and his friends.
"I'm glad you could join us Mr Storm, please take a seat."Mr Roderick mutters sarcastically."Sure thing,Roderick."Gage winks at him. Some students chuckle quietly in amusement while others just stare at him, surprised.
Well as for me, I try to focus on the very interesting topic in my paper.Thinking about what happened at the mall, I feel a little bit guilty for bursting out on him like that so I didn't want him to see me at all.
You know that feeling when you know that someone is staring at you, that's what I'm feeling now. So I raise my head and my eyes meet his intense gaze, his eyes leave mine for a brief second to look at the empty seat beside me.
Uh-Oh!
Why did that seat have to be empty? Why?
Slowly he moves towards me and plops on the chair."Hey Shortstack."He drawls.Coughing awkwardly, I smile awkwardly in response to him.I try as much as possible to concentrate but the sound of a pencil hitting the table repeatedly distracts me.
"Could you quit that."I hiss in annoyance at Gage."It's really distracting."I continue.
"Are you saying I'm distracting?"he smirks amusingly at me."No- that's not what I meant."I retort, embarrassed.Of course he is distracting but not in a million years would I say that.... Maybe when pigs fly.
"Relax I'm only messing with you."He chuckles.
"Jerk!"I mutter under my breath. As I round up my test I check to see if Gage had finished with his papers,he must have because I find him sleeping with the paper under his arms.He looked....innocent.
Ha!as if he is anything close to that.Studying his face, I stare at his eyelashes. For a guy, they are surprisingly long and dark. With his full pink lips that would be perfect for ki-As if he knew that I was staring at him, one of his eyes peeks open suddenly and I let out a little shriek.
"Don't you know it's rude to stare. If you want a picture all you have to do is ask." Smirking,he sits up.
Great now I'm sure he thinks I'm one of his fan girls that has a picture of him on their wall and worships him every night.
Shit! I don't like him so-Keep telling yourself that.. Liar! My subconscious interrupts.
Shut it, I don't like him! I fire back.
"Time's up, hand over your sheets now!"The teacher's loud voice speaks up. He goes round to collect the sheets from us as class is dismissed.Finally.
I rush out of the class like a woman on a mission.Ok I'm on a mission to stuff my face with food because I'm so freaking hungry right now. My stomach growls in response as if to agree with me.
As people file out of the class, I try to make it out to the cafeteria to get the best food before it's all gone.Students that get to the cafeteria on time usually get the best food and the late ones are left with the remnants
