Frustrated much?

Hope can sometimes be farfetched✨

I sometimes wish I could meet the person that introduced school and give the person a piece of my mind!Like what person in his or her right mind would expect you to be awake so early in the freaking morning all in the name of SCHOOL?! And still expect you to be all rainbows and sunshine.

And to put the icing on the cake(note the sarcasm) the same person decided to play a cruel joke on us and went ahead to introduce the one thing people hate most in the world.

Exams.

As you've guessed it's exam week and I feel like bawling my eyes out.I'm a nervous wreck!

The very much awaited calculus test  is today and I'm so anxious my hands won't stop shaking.Like I said earlier.I hate exams!

Taking out my books from my locker angrily, I continue to mutter under my breath like a lunatic.

"Geez Skye what pissed all over skittles?"

I jump slightly in fright but relax when I recognize the familiar voice. My lips turn up a bit at my best friend's lame attempt to make a joke as I continue to take out the books I'll need for my next classes. I almost feel bad for my poor textbooks but then I remember the  test I'll be taking today and so I continue my assault.

"Paige you know better than to make reference to the second love of my life with the word 'piss'."I air quote. Yes, I love skittles so much.Its sweet goodness will always have a place in my heart but it can never replace the first love of my life....velvet cake!

Like you have got to love its spongy heavenly taste!My stomach rumbles as if to agree with me.

Damn! Now I'm hungry.

"Well Duh! That's why I'll never stop saying it."She smiles mischievously at me.I roll my eyes at her as I shove my bag in my locker and close it a bit too loud.

Not a second later, the school bell goes off to signal that it's time for the next class as if to mock me and I give it a death glare.
Stupid bell!

"Why are you so chirpy when it's exam week?"I frown as I face her. Last time I checked she isn't really a fan of exams either but my hatred surpasses hers.

OK it's not that I don't do well in these exams but I would rather binge watch on Netflix all day with my favourite snacks than study for a boring test.

"Am I acting all chirpy?"Paige arches an eyebrow at me. She sure didn't look like she wanted to bawl her eyes out nor did she look stressed. In fact it looked like she put extra effort to look nice today. Considering her makeup looked more than usual,her clothes looked fabulous and was that red lipstick on her lips? Paige never uses lipstick, just the occasional lip gloss.

She looked great.
Unlike me,I didn't give a shit about how I looked like.I just put on the nearest jeans and sweatshirt with my converse that I wore often and I'm good to go.

"Yes you are and your outfit looks  nice today."I narrow my eyes at her. She couldn't be dressing up for someone could she? I shake the thought out of my head as I realize that Paige's not the kind of girl to impress a guy. She'll just be herself and that's one of the things we have in common and I love about her.

"Are you saying I've never dressed nicely? You hurt me with your words, Skye."She puts the back of her hand on her forehead in a dramatic manner, holding her chest. I laugh lightly at her exaggerated act and assure her that she always looks good.

"So are you ready for the test?"She reminds me of why I'm in a bad mood as we settle down on our seats. I make sure that I choose a seat that would make me go unnoticed for the rest of the day.

"Yeah, I'm ecstatic."I reply sarcastically with a scowl on my face. She doesn't notice that I mean the opposite because she nods distractedly as she types away on her phone.

The class begins to fill up in no time as the students take their seats. My eyes meet the person I least expect to see in the class....
Gage and he's alone this time. It then hits me that to be given the calculus test means that you are in the advanced class.That means Gage is not only incredibly handsome, he's also...intelligent?

Could life get more unfair??

An hour later, I'm putting finishing touches to my Calculus question paper when my eyes catch a question paper that is filled with ink in a bold and clear handwriting. Gage is handing out his paper to the teacher and Mr Thorntow collects it.

I look down at my paper and frown at the last question left unanswered. I scribble away on my paper and hope it's the correct answer.

"Time's up,hand out your papers now!",Mr Thorntow practically shouts.

Geez! No need to sound nice about it.

"I won't condone any rude attitude from you, Miss Davies."Mr Thorntow retorts as he snatches my paper from my desk.

Oh shit! I said my thoughts out loud.From the side of my eyes I could see Gage trying to hold a smirk.

Someone bury me now...please!

"Your results will be out by next week unfailingly and don't forget it's fifty percent of your grades."The teacher reminds.

The class groans in frustration as they filed out to the hallway.

"How did your test go Skye?"Paige asks as she stuffs her face with food.I'm very sure she didn't know how she looked like.

"It was alright."I shrug in response.Truth be told I didn't put in all my best but I know I won't fail. This time I wasn't really in the mood to study at all. I just felt...nonchalant.

"Hmm OK, if you say so."Paige looked unconvinced.I avoided her eyes as I pick at a fry.

"Is it true Gage's in the advanced class?He would have taken the test too right?"Amy spoke up for the first time.

I nodded in agreement.

"It's a shame though,you guys would have been great together you know? But we all know he can't keep a girl for long."

"Who would have been great together with him?"I frown as I arch an eyebrow at her. She wouldn't be referring to me, would she?

"You silly... but he's back together with the queen bitch now and God knows how long they'll last again this time."Amy bends her head as she whispers to me.

So Gage is back together with Tiana? No wonder she was less bitchy today.It's not even my business.

Is it,Skye? my subconscious mocked.

I roll my eyes in annoyance as I remind my friends for the last time that Gage and I couldn't never be anything more than school mates. We've barely said five words to each other since he saved my ass at the last party and that just happened by accident.

"Sure Skye you keep telling yourself that."Paige smirks at me.

Without thinking,t I find myself looking at Gage's direction.Tiana is seated on his laps  laughing along with his friends. He wasn't laughing along with them just observing. For some reason I couldn't avert my eyes and that's when Tiana caught me looking.

Oh boy!

Turning Gage's head to her face, she bends down and kisses him right on the lips. At first he looked taken aback but a second later he kissed her with the same fervour.

After a few more seconds, he pulls away from her like nothing happened.Well guess they are really back together.

I wrote this chapter half sleepy.
