Int. Female Bathroom (Lunch)…

Jemma and Direll stood in the female’s bathroom. Direll asked her if a device could be a flaw. Jemma stated that a flaw is an imperfection to a person’s ability or quirks, not an object. He showed her the busted up phone and showed her an example of what it can do using currency converter.

He asked her for any amount of cash. She took out a five dollar bill out her bra and handed it to him. He stared at her chest for a few moments and shook his head. He used the currency converter app and changed it from U.S dollars to British pounds.

The five-dollar bill suddenly changed to three dollars and fifty-one cents.
Jemma stood there in dumbfounded. The only explanation she could give was that the phone contained sophisticated AR(augmented reality) features, with the primary value of bringing aspects of the computer world into the real one.

Likely using a collection of sensations that are seen as natural parts of the environment. Direll didn’t understand a word she said and was shortened to ‘your phone has features which have an effect on reality’. She wondered if it would have an effect on her phone if he transferred the files through Bluetooth pairing. Jemma took out her phone and turned on her Bluetooth and Direll did the same.

“Connect to mine.”

Direll did as she said and his phone displayed paired but it didn’t actually begin pairing with her phone. Jemma looked at him in confusion. Direll’s eyes widened when he noticed a blue glow coming from her cheek.

“Uh Jemma, your cheek is glowing.”

She looked in the mirror and opened her mouth. Her upper incisor was gleaming blue. They stared at each other in shock. He asked if it hurt and she shook her head. She pointed at his teeth which also had a small blue glow.  Direll then realized that his tooth also glowed.

Direll leaned closer to the mirror playing in his glowing tooth. Jemma did the same. He experimented with the phone to see what was causing this. Jemma did the same with her phone.

“DL stop.”

Direll paused and so did Jemma.

“What’s wrong?” He asked.

Jemma explained that everything he does she copies like a forceful ‘Simon Says’. Bluetooth is used to transfer files between devices but with the paranormal Augmented reality features it transfers thoughts from the user to the pair’s mind. Jemma thought to herself that these programs must have some downfall. Direll started moaning as his tooth began to ache causing a migraine.

Direll turned off his Bluetooth and both of their teeth stopped glowing. Jemma suggested asking his tech friend for his view on this. She considered it more of a weapon than a superpower.

“So it's some sort of meta tech, like in DC comics.”

“Really?” Direll asked with his eyes sparkling with excitement. "You read comics?"

“No. You talk to me about them alot.”
