Rohan placed a wet towel over Kara’s forehead. She opened her eyes slowly adjusting it to the light. She apologized. He ignored her and left her room. She asked him about Jemma quickly. Rohan told her that Jemma’s at Direll’s place.
Rohan was fixing his tie as he prepared to leave for work. Kara tried getting up but her ankle was sprained. Rohan told her Jemma should be back ASAP before taking his jacket off the rack and speeding out the room.
Int. Cul-De-Sac- Morning Day
The ministers and prime minister gathered for a meeting along with President Jake Housman. The prime minister Hon. Boswell ‘Nidhogg’ Lawless addressed the issues on the agenda. They began with Direll’s recent pranks that have left a negative effect on the tourism industry.
He displayed Direll’s recent YouTube videos on a large monitor. Vill stood in a corner smiling as he was entertained by this. Boswell paused the video and turned to his staff. He asked how Direll and Surage were able to pull this off. Hon. Chedy Blanchard, stated that there must be a third party assisting them. President Housman pointed out that as the Prime Minister and father of the child he should be held responsible. Boswell asked Jared about keeping an eye on Direll. Jared indicated that Direll is like water, always finding a way out.
Boswell asked Jared to step down for a while and gave Lilliame his duty. Lilliame didn’t look to pleased about it. Next on their agenda was the pulse that shut down all the power in the city. Vill pointed out that the only thing capable of doing something like that is an EMP, one of the world’s most demanded weapons. He stated its function and said that Cul-De-Sac only has one of those stashed away for safe keeping.
Boswell asked Vill for a possible location of where the EMP could have been be activated but Vill couldn’t think of anywhere apart from a power plant. He told Boswell that he would track down the location of its previous use and at that moment another pulse was triggered. All electronic devices immediately shut down. Boswell gave Vill a serious glare and told him to find it.
