Chapter Seventeen - The Final Chapter

Well here is the last chapter. Wow I can't beleive that this story is over. Hope you have all enjoyed it. I think I am going to start writing another story but it's not goign to be a student/teacher one. I may also go back and do my first story. Anyway, Hope you enjoy.

It was finally August, Everyone had a fun summer. They really didn’t do too much.  Alex and Kendra packed things and had them shipped to the house in California.  They were going to move there as they figured they could start a family there and that was where they had a home already. Abby and Jeremy was doing the same thing. They had been packing as well. They decided that they wanted to move there a few weeks after the baby was born. So that he would be close to his sister.  Blake and Amanda decided that they were moving to New York for a few years. Blake was going to work at his father’s business and Amanda was becoming a Model. She already was but she was going to become a bigger one.  Since they were married it didn’t matter. Wesley and Kelly were going to Alabama University for four years. Then they were going to law school. They both wanted to be lawyers. School started in September for them so they were all going to be together for the baby’s birth.

On August 14, 2009 Abby went into labor. Jeremy had taken her to the mall to get a few baby things, and while walking her water broke. On the way to the hospital she sent a text to everyone telling them. Once they got to the hospital the Doctors took her back. They had to hook her up to several machines as she was a high rick pregnancy with her heart.  After two hours in labor, Abby started hurting. The doctors told everyone to get out of the room and they had to rush her up to surgery.  Alex, and Jeremy wanted to stay with her but the doctors told them no. Everyone was freaking out because they knew there was a possibility of them loosing Abby. She had been doing so well over the past few months, but they knew this could happen.

Thirty minutes after the doctor took Abby into surgery the nurse came out and told everyone that she gave birth to a healthy baby boy. She told Jeremy that he could follow her to the nursery and see his son. He asked her how Abby was and the nurse told him that the doctor would have to come tell them as she was just a nurse for the nursery. Jeremy told everyone he would take a picture of the baby for them and when he found out about Abby he would let them all know.

When Jeremy saw his son, he was so happy. He was able to hold him, the nurse asked him if they were going to breast feed him or bottle feed him. Jeremy told her that they hadn’t figured it out yet. The nurse told him that was ok they could decide in a few hours as the baby could eat just yet anyway. Jeremy had the nurse take a picture of him and his son, and then he took pictures of his son. Then the nurse told him he could go wait on the news about Abby with his friends. So he thanked her, told his new son he would see him soon and headed to the waiting room.

Once Jeremy was in the waiting room, the doctor came out. And asked for The Carter Family, Jeremy went over to him and told him he was Abby’s husband. The doctor told him:

                “Sir when you brought your wife in we didn’t know how well she would be able to handle the labor with her heart. As you know there was a few complications and we had to rush her into surgery. We were able to get the baby out with out to much damage. However, after the baby was out, Abby’s heart stopped beating. “
