The dimly lit fireplace grows warmer

Any feeling of coldness goes away

Inside feels as nice as the summer breeze

But the ice outside proves a winter day

The chimes play a tune, clacking in the breeze

The breeze makes a whistle across the snow

Snow falls silently, hits the ground to freeze

Freezing snow then sits, how long? No one knows

Inside the house again, the old man sits

Last time only sadness, but that is no more

Today the man is happy, with his mitts

Sitting by the fireplace at the door.

No point in reliving bad memories

One could hear him laugh, in the frozen breeze.
