Sonnet XII

Without the bad things, good things aren't as great

Without a challenge, there's a lesser worth

This may be a fact, but there's much debate

You can't have heaven without hell on earth

The tough times will make you a stronger you

If it were easy, you'd be ungrateful

Maybe you're hurting, but others are too

Connecting's what makes you better people

Maybe you're going through a lot right now

And maybe it seems like you just can't win

And I can not say that I know just how

But ev'ry bad thing has to have a fin.

   Bad things might stay for a little while

   But they also leave without a trial.
