"Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armour yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you."
- Tyrion Lannister, 'Game of Thrones'.
Charlotte, Ivy, and Oswald walked for miles to go meet Mr. Freeze. Charlotte remembered him from the time she worked back in the GCPD. His real name was Victor Fries and he had a gun that could freeze anything and anyone. Fries intended to freeze his wife and then unfreeze her to cure her of a deadly disease which was slowly killing her. When that didn't work, he committed suicide by freezing himself with his own gun and his body was then taken to Indian Hill. He was brought back to life but couldn't survive without his body temperature being lower than freezing or without a special suit which had been locked away after Indian Hill was shut down. Now he lived somewhere in the mountains, isolated from everything and everyone. Charlotte remembered how fascinated she was by his story and his methods and was kind of eager to finally meet him face to face.
During their walk, it started snowing and it quickly turned into a snowstorm. The wind pulled at their hair and pushed them back, but they kept on going. After a few hours of walking, they finally spotted an igloo a few meters ahead.
Once they stepped inside, Oswald closed the door and leaned against it. He grimaced and took a deep breath, waiting for the pain to end.
"Are you okay?" Charlotte asked worriedly.
Oswald looked up at her and sent her a tight lip smile. "It's nothing. My foot hurts but it's just from the walk and the cold weather. I'll be fine".
"You're sure?" She asked to be sure it was nothing serious.
He nodded and walked farther into the house made of ice. Ivy had already put down the Wayne Enterprises' trunk they had brought with them. Inside was Victor's suit, which Ivy had taken from a Wayne Enterprise facility. She used her perfume to make the guards show her where the suit was being kept.
"Hello? Anyone home?" Oswald shouted, but there was no reply.
Charlotte took a look around and noticed all the scientific materials that filled the place. Perhaps Fries was trying to come up with a cure to his condition.
"When this guy gets home, we got to ask him to kick on the heat," Ivy said as she shook from the cold. "It's colder in here than it is out there". She didn't like that place. No way her plants would ever be able to grow in a place like that. "I know you're hell-bent on getting revenge on Nygma and all. And forming an army of freaks is a great plan, I mean, it was my idea, but-"
A clattering sound caused Oswald to shush Ivy before she could finish her sentence. "Shh! Quiet. I think I hear something".
"I heard it too," told Charlotte. She looked around to see what could have caused the noise but saw nothing out of place.
