Chapter 6

"I see, tell your boss to get it in the afternoon. The payment will be ready till then" giving the man a scrool of lists. He bowed and thanked me before leaving.

"Have a good day, Your Majesty"

A maid came in with tea and cookies on her hand. I recognised her as the one who spoke to me last time in the throne room. She carefully placed the tea and cookies on my table then stood on the wall with her head looking down. Sipping my tea, still looking at her.

"What is your name dear? I never got to know it" I said resuming on reading the scroll Kouen sent me.

"I-It's Reya, Your Majesty" I can feel her blushing as always.

"Your blushing again, Reya. I guess you can be easily teased" looking back at her who look red as a tomato

"I-It's n-not t-true!" Her hands waved frantically in front of her

"It's just a small tease, dear" I smiled looking at her steaming red face

"Eekk!" She hid her face with her hands but her ears still visible so it is so red by now. Chuckling at her reaction while sipping my tea, I resumed reading.

"Relax, here. Have some cookies, I don't want you to watch me eating while you arent" I gestured her to sit on the chair beside my desk. She slowly sat and uncomfortably rub her hands together.

"Here" getting a cookie out of the basket, I placed it right in front of her lips. She looked shocked and blushed yet again but slowly opened her mouth.

"If only I had a daughter, I will treat her exactly just like this. Letting her have fun, spoil her, feed her, and call me mother" I unconsciously blurted it out with a bitter smile, silencing Reya who nibbled the cookie.

'Her Majesty is lonely. Why did they kill him!!! It's their fault that Her Majesty is suffering!' Reya thought angrily

"Reya, why did you choose to become a maid at such an early age? You're 14 right?" I asked her with all curiousity

"Yes, Your Majesty. I wanted to be a maid because I wanted to meet you, personally and speak with you" she said shy as ever making me smile

"Is that so?"I leaned back on my chair

"Yes! Even my friends want to meet you and have a conversation with you! They are so jealous when I told them that I got to be one of your personal maid!"

Unknown to the two, just outside the Office. There stood the 12 Guardians and Yunan, peeking from the windows. With the help of Yunan, they remained undetected from their King. The fond smile that their King showed to the maid, made them smile even the emotionless ones like Genos, Kheil, Zelus and Nemesis showed a smile. The Guardians made a vow to protect her smile and happiness, even Yunan wants to protect her happiness. For it has been a long time since she smiled her brightest. It has been 10 years since that happened and everyone close to her knows what had happened to him.

"You're parents, where are they?" I asked while smelling the tea

"Oh, mom is at our bakery shop while dad is at the military base. Mom is quite the outgoing and cheery type while dad is the serious one but soft in the inside once you get to know him" Reya smiled while describing her parents. Eating some cookies while at it too.

"Could you introduce your parents to me? I'm quite interested on your family"

"Really? You like to meet them?" Her eyes gleamed with excitement and I nodded with a smile

Reya led me to the capital where people are all happy. Once we got to the capital, the citizens saw me and cheered. I just waved and smiled at them as their cheers got louder. Reya grabbed my hand like a kid on a tour, it is nice though. It's nice having to experience to be a parent even for just a few hours.

We got to a bakery shop and there are many people right in front of it. Seems like it is pretty much famous. A woman in mid 30's cheerfully sells them her products.

"Mom! The Queen is here to meet you!" With the mention of Queen, the people look at me. I smiled at them and waved gracefully

"Please continue on what you are doing, I'm just here to have a walk"

"Welcome, Your Majesty!"

"Hail Queen Seraj!"

"My Queen, you are beautiful more than the rumours say"

"My, My, it seems like I have caused a commotion just by being here" I joked as people chuckled

The woman ran out of her store and bowed in front of me.

"Your Majesty! I hope Reya haven't caused any trouble!" She said quite aftaid

"Oh it's quite the opposite. She made me happy, no need to be afraid ma'am" patting Reya's head as she smiled up at me

"M-Ma'am?! Please, Your Majesty! There's no need with the honorifics. I'm just a mother who owns a bakery" she blushed easily just like the way Reya does

"Like mother, like daughter. You both blush with just my words" I chuckled at their both tomato faced expressions as the people also laughed

"My, My, they really are" I chuckled amused at their faces

"Your Majesty! Sergeant Neil at your service!" A man in late 30's salutes and stood beside me.

"Dad!" Reya jumped in his arms surprising him

"Reya!? Did you do something to Her Majesty!?" Neil, her father shook Reya with nervousness

"Of course not!! Why do you always think I did something?!" Reya pouted as Neil sighed in relief

"Worry not. I'm just here to meet Reya's parents. By the way, I never got to know your name madame" I slightly teased Reya's mother with the madame tittle

"I-It's May, Your Majesty. Please don't tease me" she pouted like a kid just like Reya

"Hahaha you both are fun to tease. I must get going now. Neil, May, please visit if you can" patting Reya one last time

"As you wish, Your Majesty" Neil saluted as May and Reya bowed with a smile

"Your Majesty" turning around, there stood Sephiroth with the other Guardians.

"Oh, what are you guys doing here?"

"Our apologies, Your Majesty. We followed you" Genos replied

"It's fine. Now, Reya, Neil, May, thank you for your time" with a snap of my fingers, we are on the throne room in an instant

"Your Majesty, can I ask a question?" Sho and Ken asked in sync

"Go ahead" nodding in their direction

"Um" they are hesitant like it is forbidden to talk. Rido and Rai nudged them both

"I-If he is still alive, will you believe it?" Sho asked while Ken kept silent. That question made me froze and tears are threatening to spill as my chest tightened.

"I-I........I don't know. If he is then, I am happy but I guess it is only a dream if it is" I tried to walk but my knees gave up and I fell on the floor on fours.

"Your Majesty!!" They all circled me as Shun, Strife and Seth supported me

"Forgive me Your Majesty!! I should not have asked!!" Sho kneeled with his head on the floor

"You are forgiven, it's just that.....the grief is too near that I can't..." My tears fell silently making them all silent.

"You can't go on like this. You must forget the past" Yunan said appearing out of nowhere

"I know but....... I just can't" I sobbed uncontrollably
