"Here you go!" Rachel walked inside with my coffee and donut in her hand. "I went light on the sugar like you asked and they didn't have no more maple so I settled for glaze."

"Thank you." I took a sip of coffee.

"Ms. Rivera has fax the files you requested and suggested that you take a careful look at them before calling a decision on this case."

"I see .." I nodded. "did Stevens call yet?"

"No, but I did call and his assistant said she'll tell him after his meeting with the board."

"Good! an-

My phone rung.

"Hello?"

"Hey! Cyn?"

"Erica?"

"Yeah, babygirl." She chuckled. "How are ya?"

"Um .." I cleared my throat. "I'm fine and yourself?"

"Can't complain." She says. "Listen, I got two tickets to the Nets game and would love to see you the-

"Erica." I sighed. "Look, I had great time the other night but right now isn't really a good time to pursue anything. I'm focused on work and just got out of a relationship so the last-

"Woah slow down!" She cut me off, laughing.
"Cynthia it was a date not a marriage proposal."

I sighed in relief.

"At least NOT yet."

"Erica!" I whined.

"Alright!" She cackled. "Honestly, I would love to pursue more than friends but if a relationship isn't what you want then I understand friends don't sound that bad."

"Oh god! thank you!" I said with a smile.

The last thing I wanted her to feel was that I wasted her time.

"No problem mamas, I really enjoyed the time that we shared together."

"Me too." I twirled around in my seat.

"New boyfriend?" Rachel chimed in.

"knock!knock!" Benji walked into the office, with folders in his hands. "I got the files you requested and I must say, its a lot."
