Erica's Pov

10:27am

My eyes slowly open, squinting, as the sun peek through the curtains. I laid in the bed for a moment or two.

I felt around the mattress and came to the realization that I was here alone. Stretching out my arms, I stood up and made my way to the bathroom.

I carried out my hygiene routine then went on a man hunt to find something to satisfy my stomach.

I could hear commotions coming from the front room causing me to dash throughout the halls.

To my surprise, Cyn was still here but with a guest. I was on the urge of interrupting until something stop me.

I couldn't make it out to see Cynthia's face expression but from the outline of their talk, she wasn't so pleased.

"Do you have any idea of the shit you done cause huh?!" He shouted. "Our reputation is at stake here!"

"I don't care!" She spat back. "What about my happiness? I refuse to be silent or push to the side when it comes to my life!"

He clapped his hands together.

"Silly girl!" The man chuckled. "Everything does not revolve around you! There are headlines, stories being wrote up and all you seem to care about is that broad!"

"S-She's special Caleb." Cyn croaked.

Caleb gave a half shrug. "Well, I guess you got some decisions to make."

He spotted me from afar then shook his head in disapproval. Cyn followed his gaze and rolled her eyes.

"Before you even start-"

"You need to fix this. Now." He said to her, while glaring at me. "I'll see you soon at the firm sister."

Caleb walked away with Cyn trailing behind him. I helped myself in the kitchen, fixing a bowl of cereal.

When Cyn returned, she looked distressed in the face. Her eyes were bloodshot red as if she been crying all day.

"You good?" I asked her.

"Yeah." She replied, reaching for a bottle of crowne in the glass cabinet.

"Baby-"

Cyn looked up at me with a stale face while pouring a glass of alcohol. I wanted to chew her out but sided against it.

"Nothing."

"Julian cancel on me that last-"

I flashed a smile. "It's cool."

This was his third time canceling this week, which cause me to become her temporary driver in the meantime.

"Erica-"

"Don't worry about it." I said nonchalantly before walking away.

I pulled up alongside of the building and turned off the engine. She sat in her seat for awhile, barely moving.

"They want us to break up." She said softly, playing with her fingers.
