Elsa:

Oh no, oh no, please tell me this is not happening. Please. I asked Scorpius how we get sorted into our houses, and he said, he said- we have to battle a dragon! And, even worse, in front of the whole School!

Right now we're all lining up in the entrance hall. A tall, grey haired witch comes to greet us.

“Students, I am Professor McGonagall, Headmistress here at Hogwarts." she explains. “The feast is about to happen- but first, for our Sorting Ceremony!

And with that, she thrusts open the Great Hall doors, which, I know, are going to lead me to my doom...

We're now facing the whole school! I don't think I've ever been as scared in my life, I think I'm going to be sick! Last time I was face-to-face with a dragon, it breathed fire all over me; I was burnt all over and my ice powers almost disappeared... Please NO, don't let that happen again!!

“Silence, students,” calls McGonagall. “Let the sorting ceremony, BEGIN!"

And, for some bizarre reason, she places a patched and frayed Wizard's hat on a small rickety stool. What? Where are the dragons? Why is there a hat??

And, suddenly, as if the situation isn't weird enough, the hat bursts into song:

“Oh you may not think I'm pretty,

but don't judge on what you see,

I'll eat myself if you can find,

A smarter hat than me,

You can keep your Bowlers black,

Your top hats sleek and tall,

For I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat,

And I can cap them all.

There's nothing hidden in your head

The Sorting Hat can't see,

So try me on and I will tell you

Where you ought to be.

You might belong in Gryffindor,

Where the brave dwell at heart,

Their daring, nerve, and chivalry

Set Gryffindors apart;

You might belong in Hufflepuff,

Where they are just and loyal,

Those patient Hufflepuffs are true
