The Nutcracker And The Robot King // Astro Boy x Reader

Caught

I saw some nutcrackers at the store the other day, let's just say, I squealed. They're so tiny and cute!!!

You woke up in a wooden embrace. Your eye fluttered open and you were faced with red and blue colours, you placed your hands on the colours and pushed back to see what you were staring at. Once you looked up, you gasped.

"Astro!" You pushed him away further and got up, tripping over the blanket so you fell back down onto the poorly made beds.

He groaned and opened his eyes, he blinked a few times and then sat up, staring at you with his amazing chocolate brown eyes. "(Y/N)..? Are you okay?" He asked, rubbing his left eye.

"Auhm.." you thought back to last night. A kiss, some confessing and falling asleep in his arms. You immediately felt your face grow hot. "Yes!" You nodded vigorously. "Yes I couldn't be better..." You smiled happily (and nervously) at him. He cocked his head to the side.

"Well, we should wake Uran. I think we should go." You nodded slowly and got up. You looked around patiently and then you got worried.

"Where is she??" You looked under your feet, no Uran there.

"The Cowboys aren't here too!" Astro clenched his fists. "I knew we shouldn't have trusted them!"

"No time for anger! Let's go!" You jumped back out of the tree house and frantically looked around. Astro jumped out and landed beside you. There was a small 'Help!' In the distance. Astro heard it and grabbed your hand.

"This way!" He pulled you down the path you two had just run from the other day before.

"Let go of the little lady!" You heard a familiar voice yell.

"It's Daze and Rhodey!" You gasped, running as fast as you could to catch up to the yelling. Astro slowed down and his eyes widened at what he saw, he then pulled you behind some bushes.

"You have disobeyed the order of the robot king." Uran struggled to get out of the plastic toy's grasp. "If you come any closer to this doll, we will shatter her." The wicked windup toy squeezed his grasp on Uran's neck, making crack marks form. The cowboys gasped and stepped back. Astro growled and grabbed his sword. You placed you hands on his to make sure he didn't bring out his weapon hand, you shook your head no.

"There isn't anything we can do." You whispered to him, hiding the the dead bush.

"Do not follow us." The windups ordered. The cowboys nodded.

"Gentle with that girl." Daze said as the windups ran off into the mist. You removed your hand from Astro's. He lost his cool and clutched onto his sword, he slid it out of its sheath and ran out of the bushes.

"Astro no!" You yelled, chasing after him waving your arms frantically.

"You let them take her!" Astro placed the sword up the cowboys chests.

"There was nothin' we could do mate!" The cowboys stuttered, stepping back.

"Astro calm down." You grabbed onto his hand that held the sword and lowered it. "We can get her. Don't worry." You said, trying to make his anger boil down.

"But what about the sugar plum fairy? She could get Uran back. We need to see her first." Daze placed his hand on your shoulder.

"No, she can wait. Uran comes first." Astro huffed. You could tell that he didn't like those two cowboys anymore. Not that he really did like them in the first place.

"Astro.."

"(Y/N), please tell me you're coming with me to save Uran." Astro frowned at you. You bit your lip, while going to get the Sugar plum fairy was logical, you couldn't bare to think of how Uran wasn't coping in this moment.

"Of course Astro." You nodded. "We should go our seperate ways, you find the fairy, and we will find Uran."

"Good idea lassy." Daze gave you a stern nod.

"We will be on our way then. Make sure you get Uran safely back. If you succeed, we'll meet you on the other side." The cowboys bowed their hats.

"Yes. See you then." You nodded to them and they scurried off into the dark bushes, to find the Sugar plum fairy.

"We should go." Astro grabbed a hold of your hand and squeezed it.

"She'll be okay Astro." You smiled him and gave him a hug around his neck. He sighed and hugged you back tightly.

"I hope you're right." He replied.
