Chapter 5: Apartments and Naruto Uzumaki

With a brief knock, a white clad robbed nurse enters the room where Sakura is in.

"Sakura-chan? Sorry to ask you this so soon, but the Council is being a butt about it. Ehem.. Areyougoingtostayinyourhouseorgototheorphange?"

The nurse's quick talking made it hard to comprehend for Sakura before she realized. The nurse who's name was Natsuki, had asked if she was going to stay in her parents house or go to the orphanage. 

"I.. I'll choose the third option. Can I get an apartment?"

"Uhh.. I'll be right back! I need to ask Hokage-sama about it."

With a brief flare of chakra, the nurse disintegrated into a shower of fall leaves. One of the leaves blew straight into Sakura's dumfounded mouth. Coughing out the leave, she asked Navi what in the world that was.

'What in the world was that!!'

{I believe that it was the Body Flicker Technique. If you can see the technique four more times I may be able to guess it's principles.}

[Holy smokes.. We're so going to be overpowered thanks to Navi!]

{Although it's true that I can figure it out, it doesn't have very much use if you don't put hard work into it. It takes practice to use that jutsu, and just because I tell you what it is doesn't mean you'll instantly comprehend it.}

[So, we're not going to be awesome..]

{Well, we'll still be awesome, but it will take some time. But, you never know, you guys might get it instantly.}

'How could we get it instantly?'

{Do you think I would be assigned to someone talentless?}

[Aww, your such a sweetheart!]

"Sakura-chan! Sa-ku-ra-chan! The Hokage-sama is here!!"

"Oh, sorry.. I was spacing out... Hokage-sama!"

Sakura bowed so quickly that the nurse and the Hokage couldn't do anything about it. Letting out a weary laugh, the Hokage began speaking.

"So Sakura-chan.. You want to live in an apartment?"

"Hai, Hokage-sama!"

"Well, I suppose it's okay.. But, it's on the condition that you graduate the academy. If you don't graduate the academy you have to move."

"Yes, Hokage-sama! I'll do it."

"Anyway, Sakura-chan, this is your address, XXXX Leafy Leaf Apartments Unit 3, Konoha, 80550."

"Thank you, Hokage-sama!"

"Just call me Hokage, sama makes me feel even more old than I am now."

"Hai, Hokage!"

"Well, I'll leave you with Natsuki. If anything happens immediately call her. She's a trained medic-nin."

"Hai, Hokage-sa.. Hokage!"

With a grandfatherly smile, the Hokage slowly walks out the door. When the door is closed he body flickers to his office. He thought he was being sneaky but he wasn't out of the detection range of Navi.

"Sakura-chan, if you want to leave the hospital, you can do so tomorrow, but I don't recommend it.. The hospital only made sure that your fine physically." 

"I'm fine, Natsuki-san. I really am." replied Sakura

"All of you stupid ninjas and ninjas in training are so stubborn. Just know that if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here."

With a shaky smile, the first one Sakura had made since the incident, she said.

"Thank you, Natsuki-san."

Time Skip; One Day Later

Sakura began packing her little belongings.. Herself and clothes? Okay she was just really nervous and really didn't know what to do to keep the jitter bugs out of her system. Nevertheless, she was sad that she had so little to pack. She only thought of it now, but all of the little keepsakes that her mom and dad gave her was destroyed in the fire. That's what made what happened so real. It made what happened sink in, it made what happened reality. But, she wasn't going to mope around in the hospital, they'd make her stay even longer.

"Natsuki-san, I'm leaving!"

"Okay, Sakura-chan. Are you sure you know where your apartment is?"

"Yes."

"Okay, I'll see ya around the neighborhood, right?"

"Yeah."

With a small sad smile, Natsuki opened the door of the hospital that was too high for Sakura to reach. It was as if Sakura had stepped into a different world, a world filled with happiness, jubilation, and bliss. The severe contrast showed how naïve she had been before. She thought the world was only composed of things to make her laugh and smile. Now she knew, that the world was much crueler than that. But she made an oath, she would protect the light side, while suffering the torment of the much darker one. Other people didn't deserve to go what she went through, and she'd be damned if she let them. Now all that was left was to go to her new home. To train.

Sakura quickly walked through the streets of Konoha to avoid being burned mentally. Although she said her oath, it still wasn't able to take the pain away. Konoha would have to wait until she was better. With her ninja speed, she quickly arrived at the apartment complex. She decided to train her ninja skills as she did so, with an upwards backflip into the apartment complex. While she did so, she accidentally ran into this orange glob.

"I'm sorry.. I didn't see you there!"

The blonde boy with large googles was just mumbling incoherently. 

"Pink hair? Green eyes??! I think I'm your neighbor, gramps told me about you!"

Sakura just looked at him with dawning comprehension. 

"I'm Naruto Uzumaki! I'm going to be Hokage when I grow up! Believe it!"

That was the moment that Sakura Haruno met Naruto Uzumaki. A full three years earlier than expected.

AN: Some of you may be confused at the last part but I know what I'm doing! Naruto was enrolled in the academy way earlier than everyone else, because otherwise there's no way that Naruto would only be one year older than the rest of the Rookie Nine with how many times he failed the graduation exam. So in my story, Naruto transfers in the last year of the academy to Sakura's class. Sakura also only heard from her parents that Naruto's a demon and never met the guy. Thus, Sakura and Naruto only meet now!
