AN: Thank you so much! This is the first book that I've written on Wattpad to reach 1k views! It really means a lot to me, I just wrote this story for fun and because I'm obsessed with gamer fics and I like Sakura. But anyway, hope you like the virtual hug (click the arrow), because you deserve one! And I really don't because I'm a fiend that takes a long time to update.. Sorries :3

"You begin saving the world one person at a time; anything else is grandiose romanticism or politics." by Charles Bukowski

Sakura was currently wondering where it all went wrong. It was just supposed to be your run of the mill camping trip, but nooo. In all of the other years of her seven years of life, things never went this disastrously wrong so why did it all have to happen within weeks of each other now? However, Sakura's temporary lapse in attention was not something to not be taken advantage of with this particular perpetrator.

'God dammit! It's the sleeping powder!'

Sakura had been a victim to this particular poison a few times already. It wasn't fun. At. All. It was a powder that you could burn off with chakra but no one, not even Sasuke could burn off the powder in time before they fell asleep. But Sakura was big on being weirdly stubborn on select things so where most kids just succumbed to the sleeping powder she burned through her chakra supply to stay awake. Let's just say that it never worked. It left her with a hell of a headache and barley any chakra when she awoke the next morning. Sleeping powder also gave you dreams. She didn't like dreams anymore. Not when dreams were filled with bloodparentsdeath; Theylookedliketheyweresleeping. pleasewakeup. Sometimes the dreams weren't about her parents but that almost never happened. So no, she didn't like dreams at all. But it really didn't matter if Sakura didn't like dreams or not, because she was still getting one.

Sakura was falling and falling fast. Thousands of images flew around her surrounding her in brilliant splashes of light and color. The dark turquoise blue of the water dimmed the light a little but it wasn't enough to make the memories go away. Sakura sunk through the water and ended up touching something new, the start of the training camp. Maybe it was because she was thinking of the camping trip before she fell asleep or maybe it was a freak accident. In any case, she entered that particular memory fragment. With a ding, the memory expanded becoming a hundred times bigger and engulfed the turquoise sea. Like the waves, the sea would be back but the memory fragment was the center actor now.

Sakura's Dreamscape:

"Okay class, because of some special circumstances we will be doing a training camp!"

Everyone in class just looked at their sensei and stared for a long time. A single groan rung out followed by many others who finally comprehended the situation. It was a training camp, the reputed killer of all academy students. It was a week out in the wilderness that was entirely devoted to hardcore physical training . The following days after the first training camp always had dropouts. The majority were civilian children although there were always some kids from small clans that dropped out. This training camp that they were doing was supposed to be in another two months but it was happening now. Naturally, everyone was groaning including Sakura. Although Sakura was just groaning from muscle pain. The degree that she pushed herself was downright crazy.

'Navi can you show me just my stats?'

{Okay!}

Stats:

Strength: 19 Agility: 21 Endurance: 20 Intelligence: 31 Wisdom: 29 Perception: 26

[Woo-wee, all that effort your putting into it is paying off, Outer!]

{It is indeed impressive for you to improve so much in a short time frame. It's a testament to your willpower!}

'Thanks guys. Navi is it possible to generate a quest for the training camp?'

{Uhh yeah, I have permission from Command to generate most quests of my own free will. However if you accept this quest the excersice that you'll have to do will essentially double.}

'It's fine, this is why I worked on endurance so much.'

{Alright, but I will not hesitate to fail your quest if you damage your body too much.}

Real World:

Sakura burst up from her postion, immediately standing up from the bloodlust she sensed. She had learned to detect killing intent the hard way a few days ago when a giant cougar jumped into the clearing where she was doing excersises, and she could barely react in time.  She eventually pestered Navi to tell her how to sense killing intent. Her response was to infuriate enough high level beasts in the area and she'd eventually sense killing intent. It wasn't a good day for Sakura. Regardless that lesson saved Sakura's life just now. She quickly side-stepped out of the way of arrow that dug deep into the thick bark of the tree behind her. It was clearly a man-made arrow, although poorly made.

"Hey! What's the big idea, you know that we're prohibited from attacking eachother right?"

A small figure slowly walked out of the underbrush with a slight sense of guilt on his face.

"S-sorry..."

"Ha, so why did you try to attack me Sasuke?" Sakura sighed with a slight bit of resignation. Although he had the decency to look ashamed he didn't like apologizing one bit. You could tell from his tone.

"I thought you were one of those pink zimpanias with your hair color."

"P-pink zimpanias?" a startled squak came out of Sakura's mouth. This was her first time being mistaken for an animal even with her hair.

"Never been mistaken for an animal before, Pinky?" His mouth curled up in a smirk. This was the first time he'd gotten a reaction from his former fan-girl since the day she came back from her period of absense. It bothered him that he couldn't read her. With what happened last tim-

"Well Sasuke, this is indeed my first time being mistaken for an animal. Now how about you mosey on out of here. You're in my knock out territory.''

The knock out territory was exactly that, an area where people who were knocked out by sleeping powder were transported to by chunins. They were also the ones who ambushed them with sleeping powder. Of course they also revealed themselves a few seconds before they sleepified the academy students to give them time to react. In the end these places are referred to as knock out territories among the academy students with the common agreement not to set foot in each other's territory.

"...Okay, I'll get out of here. Sorry."

Sasuke started to ninja run through the trees but just before he disappeared out of view..

"Sasuke move! There's a leopard den right there!"
