It was just another ordinary day for Blizzy

It was just another ordinary day for Blizzy. Instead of spending thanksgiving in America with her extended family, she stayed at home. Well, Mick's home. She spent the entire day cleaning up the house, which was a wreck because of Mick's party from last night. The party got loud, and crazy. Blizzy was forced to stay inside the master bedroom to take care of little David. She wasn't allowed to go out to join in on the party. David cried a lot, his little ears not liking the noise at all. So Blizzy had to deal with that too.

And when the party was finally over, Mick came back into the master bedroom, smelling of alcohol and cheap perfume. He was drunk, and probably on something, for his eyes were huge and dilated. Mick's pants were quite tight after seeing Blizzy, and he smiled like the devil himself as he stumbled over towards Blizzy.

Blizzy watched him, boredly, having seen this side of Mick more than once. She noticed how Mick had lipstick stains on his cheeks, and scratchmarks all over him. She wondered how many groupies he got to, and how many times he cheated on her that night. So far, Mick had cheated on her at least 4 or so times a week, which was quite a bit. Sometimes, Mick even brought a few groupies or models or playboy bunnies to his house to screw over... In front of Blizzy and/or David. It hurt Blizzy a lot inside, bit there was nothing she could really do about it.

When Mick finally got up to Blizzy, he started slipping off both his and her clothes. He drunkenly admired Blizzy before getting ready to screw her over just as he had done with his other groupies that night. Blizzy didn't mind having sex with Mick. She still loved Mick even with all of his faults, but this time she just felt sad. She felt wrong. This felt wrong to her. It struck a wrong chord within Blizzy. And after all of that happened, Blizzy just walked over to the shower to get Mick cleaned up (he was quite filthy), and to tuck him into bed. It was same old same old for Blizzy. She was now very used to taking care of a very drunk Mick.

When the morning finally came around, Blizzy had to do her usual chores. Take care of David, clean up after him, go downstairs to make a breakfast of some sort, wake Mick up, serve breakfast, clean up after breakfast, send Mick goodbyes as he went out into town that day, and a few other small things. When Mick finally left, Blizzy breathed a sigh of relief. Then she got right to cleaning up after the party. She didn't want to waste a second of her precious time.

She was well aware that today was thanksgiving, but since no one here celebrated it, Blizzy couldn't really celebrate it. But if Blizzy had some spare time in the end, she'd make herself and David a small "thanksgiving" dinner. Unfortunately that would take a while.

For now, Blizzy was for the most part alone, in a messy house that needed cleaning.

In these past few months, Shashi no longer spoke to Blizzy. Blizzy also was forced to quit her band for it took away too much time from her housewife duties. This was super unfair to Blizzy, but Mick didn't care a single bit. Blizzy wanted to leave Mick, but there was a part of her that just couldn't leave him. After all, Blizzy would be homeless with a child out there on the streets. It would be best to wait until something were to happen.

Blizzy toiled all day long, only taking breaks to eat lunch and take care of David. At the end of the day, she was exhausted. It was seven at night when she was finally done taking care of and cleaning everything. It was dark outside, and Mick still wasn't back yet. There would probably be enough time to make a little something for herself and David, so she started the grill, prepared some chicken, got out some corn and peas, slid some baked potatoes into the oven, and got out the ingredients to pumpkin pie. She was glad she bought all the supplies for a small Thanksgiving at the store just a few days earlier.

David was sitting in a high chair so that Blizzy could keep an eye on him. He was given a wooden spatula to play around with. He mostly chewed on it and swung it around, dropping it a few times. He was giggling and having the time of his life, which made Blizzy feel happy. she felt as if she was doing something right.

Eventually the food was done cooking, and the pie was set into the oven. Blizzy put all the food into nice dishes and set them on the table. David reached out for the corn and peas, wanting some of those. Blizzy scooped a few of them up for David and put it on his tray. David hungrily picked the tiny vegtables up and started eating them.

Blizzy smiled at this, and was about to sit down to eat her food. That is until the front door open, revealing a grinning Mick. He must've done something wonderful today. Good for him.

Mick's smile grew bigger as he saw the meal set out on the table. He thought it was for him. "Oh love," Mick glided on over to Blizzy and pecked her on the cheek. "this looks absolutely wonderful. You've just made my day ten times better!"

"This wasn't-" Blizzy stopped before she could say anything else. "I mean, this is for you because I love you oh so much. Thank you for being with me! Enjoy your dinner!" Blizzy smiled and lied through her teeth. She really wanted to eat something, but she only made enough food for her and some food for David. Mick could easily eat all that she had made. But maybe she could nab a piece of pumpkin pie later on.

"This tastes wonderful!" Mick stuffed his face with food, looking quite greedy. "Say, you know what would make my night even better?"

Blizzy bit down on her lip a little bit. "What would?"

"If you were to wear something... Something..." Mick looked around for the right word to say.

"Sexier?" Blizzy said plainly, not really in the mood to wear anything but conservative "prude-ish" clothes.

"Oh yes. That was the word that I was looking for." Mick smiled. "You ought to have a shorter skirt laying around here somewhere..."

"I suppose I do..." Blizzy trailed off.

"Then wear it." Mick stared at Blizzy expectantly.

Blizzy didn't have the heart to argue with Mick today. He was in such a good mood after all. So she obeyed his orders and went upstairs to get a shorter skirt. As she was getting that skirt on, she wondered where her life all went wrong. She was pretty much a slave to Mick now. Her entire life literally revolved around him. She hated that, but there was nothing she could do about it. Besides, she was a housewife. She didn't matter. Not at all.

Housewives don't matter. They never do.
