I'd like to introduce you to the small town of Kennoxie in Northwestern Kansas. A small town that consists of a post office, grocery store, two banks, a convenient store or two, and a couple dozen other businesses lining Main Street. The population never rises above twelve hundred people since people regularly move to and from the town with ease.

Kennoxie is the biggest town in its county so it naturally became the county seat. People from the surrounding towns come to Kennoxie for business or just to see what's going on. Since Kennoxie is the biggest place to go in Sheridan County it's busy from Monday morning till about noon on Saturday when everything shuts down for the weekend.

Sounds just like a typical small town you could find anywhere within America. Well, Kennoxie isn't a typical town, strange going ons happen all the time. Once night falls in Kennoxie, things start to take a darker turn. Teenagers roam the streets looking for things to do. The cops are kept busy all night long going out on a variety of calls that deal with animals on the loose, underage drinking parties, and other things that only seem to happen in small towns.

The one thing that Kennoxie is known for is how good their athletic department is and how many times they go to State in any given sport, but what no one knows about, is that Kennoxie has a darker reputation. It's a reputation that the residents of Kennoxie try to hide from anyone visiting the town. I won't tell you what that reputation is. If you're bold enough, you might find a Kennoxie resident and ask them what it is they are hiding. If you do, I would suggest that you carry a gun or perhaps put on your very best running shoes for you will be chased out of town and told never to come back.
