Chapter Seven

Author's Pov

Lila sat on the floor of her bathroom, her back up against her tub. She had her razor in her hand with three fresh cuts bleeding freely down her arm. She didn't mean for it to go this far but, Chloe and Alya were doing everything in her power to make her school life miserable like her regular life wasn't already.

"Lila! I'm back from the store!" Her mom called.

"Coming!" She yelled quickly standing up.

She dropped her razor in the trashcan before turning the water on, not paying attention to know that it was hot. As soon as she put her arm under the water she flinched and hissed from the pain. She backed up, and tripped over the tub's wall, falling in bring the curtains and the curtain rod come down with her. She groaned as the curtain rod made contact with her head.

"Lila!" Her mom called once more.

"Coming!"

(time lapse)

A couple hours Earlier

"Mom! We're leaving for school." Lila yelled up the stairs taking a few fresh dumplings that her mom had made earlier.

"Alil, c'mon." She urged, motioning for him to hurry up.

Shoving his stuff into his bag before running towards her. They took the elevator down to the lobby where Lila again, ran into Chloe.

"Eww. Don't touch me or I might get infected with your Liar germs." Chloe cringed, walking back so that she bumped into Jean-Claude. "Ugh! Watch where you're going."

"But mademoiselle-"

"Shut it! Now come on before this waste of space makes me late!"

Lila grunted before grabbing Alil's hand and dragging him out of the lobby. They walked in silence before Alil finally spoke up.

"Does that girl bully you?" He asked.

"What? No. Why would you think that?" She asked, pulling her hood down to block her blush, embarrassed that her little brother thought so. "We just don't...get along."

He stared at her before looking down at his feet as he walked.

"Do you think daddy's watching us from heaven?" He abruptly asked as they neared his school.

"Yeah, maybe." She answered just as they arrived at the school yard gate where the teachers collected the students every morning.

"Bye Lily." He giggled.

"Bye."

(second period)

"Hello class, today we will be-" Lila completely zoned the teacher out, ignoring whatever the hell he was going on about as she doodled on her arm. She drew hearts around a big blue word.

LAdrien

She giggled quietly to herself causing Kai to look over to her.

"What's so funny?" He asked as discreetly as possible.

She looked over at him and mouthed "nothing."

He smirked at her before pulling her arm to see LAdrien written in a bright orange color. He snickered causing her to blush profusely, gaining the teachers attention.
