Author's Pov

It's been three weeks since Lila first resorted to cutting and everything just seems to get worse. Kissing Adrien probably wasn't one of the smartest ideas, especially in the courtyard for the whole school to see. She only kissed him in attempt to move on, which, it helped her part but, for some reason, Marinette was coming at her too now.

Hmm, I wonder why?

School has definitely turned into a hell hole and it didn't help that her baby brother, Alil, was going through some kind of depression. Her mom said it's just a faze because she's in denial, but Lila could see it clearly. After all, it takes one to know one, right?

Lila was currently laying on Kai's bed next to him as he finished his homework.

"Wanna go to the park?" He asked her as she nodded.

They got up and left the house leaving two eleven year olds, one ten year old, a crying five year old and two sleeping toddlers. Probably wasn't the best idea.

"We'll be back." Kai yelled before shutting and locking the door.

They both walked silently before Kai spoke up.

"Do you...do you still like Adrien?" He asked her breaking the silence.

"No."

He nodded looking away. Lila turned to look at humans noticed his ears were red.

She smiled slightly having a small feeling the he had a crush on her. A splurge of confidence went through her before grabbing his hand.

"What? Do you like, like me or something?" She asked him as she brought her face closer to his.

His face turned red before nodding slightly.

"So you do like me?"

"Yes." He croaked.

"Good because I kinda like you too." she said smiling before they started walking again, hand in hand.

Whoever said happiness could last forever was wrong. Actually, did anyone ever say that. Kai and Lila were arguing about their friendships with other people. Lila didn't like the fact that he was friends with Marinette and Alya. It just wasn't fair on her part. They were friends first and friends stuck together, especially best friends. So why was he so oblivious or too closed minded to see in her perspective.

"It's either me or them, Kai! Choose!!" Lila yelled as tears streamed down her face.

"I can't choose. Just accept that their my friends!! And if I did choose you wouldn't like the answer because I'd chose them over you any day. So be thankful I didn't." He spat causing something in Lila to break.

That something was her heart. Was she really that worthless that even her best friend didn't see her with fighting for. The guy she liked, didn't see her worth fighting for. The guy who liked her. HER. He didn't see her with fighting for. So why was she still fighting?
