Kelly's POV ........................... 'Brrr. Sure is cold this morning!' I thought as I walked to work. It was the middle of February and I had just started working as a vet tech. Today was my first day on the job and I couldn't be happier. This had been my dream since I was a little girl. I had always had a soft spot for animals. As I neared the building, I heard a small whimper coming from the side of the structure. I stopped and listened. "Mhmmm..." There it was again! I rushed to where I thought the noise had come from and gasped. There, lying in the snow was a girl!
Sofia's POV ........................... I looked up and saw a kind face looking up at me. "Mama?" I whispered. "No honey. I'm not you're mama. Come on let's get you inside and get you nice and warm." The strange woman said. I made grabby hands towards the woman and she picked me up and carried me inside. In the building she wrapped me up in a nice soft blanket and held me close. I soon fell asleep in her arms.
