Kelly's POV

I was very nervous. My mom and dad were coming into town for Christmas this weekend and I felt like it would overwhelm Sofia. Kacie came down, carrying a still half asleep Sofia in her arms. I gave her and my baby a kiss and fed Sofia breakfast. "Fifi, babes, look at mama." I said. She looked at me with the cutest eyes. "Grandma and Grandpa, mama's parents, are coming to our house for Christmas!" I said as I smiled.
Sofia's POV

I hopped up and down very excitedly. My real grandparents had never been a part of my life, so this was special. Especially because it was mama's parents. I loved my mama, so I figured I would love my mama's parents too. I was in my high chair and mommy was feeding me yogurt. The doorbell rang and I bounced. They were finally here! I whined to get out and mommy laughed and got me out. I wiggled out of her arms and ran and tackled my new grandparents before they even set foot in the house. Grandpa laughed heartily and picked me up. "Hello Sofia. I'm your Grandpa! My daughter has told us all about you. Grandma and I brought you some presents. Do you want to help carry them in?" He asked. I nodded, "Presents!" I yelled. Then looked at mommy and mama to make sure I could. They smiled and gave me a thumbs up. I ran to their car and carried some of my presents, my mommy helping me.
Kacie's POV

I watched my precious baby open her presents. She was so happy when she got some outfits and accessories for her new American Girl doll she had just gotten last week. Kelly and I also had another surprise for Sofia. We were taking a car trip to Florida for a week. I called Sofia into my room and told her that I had a surprise for her. "Baby, for your last birthday present, we are going on a trip! We are all going to stay in Florida for a week and have fun!" She was so excited that she almost fell off the bed.
Sofia's POV

I was so excited. We were going to Florida! I ran to my bedroom and started stuffing as much clothes and stuffies in there as possible. Mommy came in and laughed when she saw me trying very hard to fit my giant teddy bear in. It wouldn't fit. Mommy said "Honey, we're only going to be gone for a week! How about you let mommy help you." I nodded and mommy started putting swimming suits and jammies and other clothes in there. I was confused. "Mommy? Why are you only packing clothes? Where my stuffies and toys gonna go?" I asked. She laughed and handed me a cute pink backpack that had my name on it. I squealed happily and carefully put 2 coloring books, some colored pencils, and my blankie in first. Then I started cramming in all my stuffies. I grunted in frustration when they wouldn't all fit. Mommy laughed again and told me I could bring 3 stuffies. I picked my 3, and was happy that they all fit. We got my things in the car and mama packed a snack bag and a little cooler for cold stuff.

I was in the kitchen packing a snack bag for Kacie, Sofia and I and I grabbed a little cooler and I put some sodas and waters in for Kacie and I and a couple bottles in case she got cranky. It was an 16 hour drive and because it was so long I grabbed a cute pink neck pillow for Sofia and matching green ones for Kacie and I. I got into the car, buckled Sofia up and began our long drive.
Kacie's POV

We had been driving for about 4 hours, and Sofia was starting to get fussy. "Fifi honey, why don't you color for a little bit?" I asked her. She whined and shook her head. "Nu mama. Not wanna." She mumbled. I tried giving her a bottle but she wouldn't take it. She tugged at my shirt. I sighed. "No honey, we're in the car." I told her. She shook her head no, and whined, trying to lift my shirt. I sighed and unbuckled her from her car seat and got us both in a comfy position. I hadn't even lifted my shirt all the way before she latched on. I stroked her hair and she eventually fell asleep. I pulled my shirt back down and tried putting her back in her seat. She whined and clutched onto me. I sighed and decided to just let her be. I fell asleep after a while, and woke up once we stopped, so that Kelly could switch with me and sleep a little.
