Chapter 6
Carter's POV
I went upstairs to see Matt in the hallway. He was looking at a picture. I sat down next to him. He was looking at a picture of mom.
"I wish he would have left me in Norway with you guys", he said looking at me.
"It wouldn't have been any different. Mom would still have died you couldn't save her from the cancer", I said
"Carter I've wanted to meet mom since I was 6. I wanted to meet you", he said.
"Matt I'm sorry", I said and hugged him.
"It's okay, you couldn't have done anything anyways we were just a month old", he said.
"Okay so we are doing something today, what did you want to do", I asked.
"Um we could go sight seeing", he said.
"Okay let me get ready and we can leave for that", I said as he got up and then helped me up.
Matt's POV
I walked down stairs and into the kitchen to see dad sitting on a stool reading the news paper.
"Morning Matt", he said.
"Morning", I said grabbing milk, a spoon, a bowl, and cereal.
"What are we doing today", he asked.
"Carter and I want to go sight seeing", I said.
"Okay", he said.
"Hey dad do you think Carter can come with me when Magcon starts", I asked.
"Sure she would love that", he said.
Yeah! I didn't want to go by myself. But I didn't want my dad to come with me. I don't have the best relationship with him.
I ran upstairs to get ready.
Carter's POV
I grabbed some clothes from my suitcase. I haven't unpacked yet, but I'll do it after sight seeing.
I put on a Spider-Man crop top, jeans, and a blue beanie. I went to my suitcase again and grabbed my converse.
I walked out of my room and down the hall to the bathroom. I curled my hair real quick.
Then down stairs. Into the kitchen to see my father and Matt waiting for me.
"You guys ready", I asked.
"Yeah", they both said.
We all walked out to the jeep and got in. Matt and I both sat in the back.
"Hey Carter I was wondering if you wanted to go with me when I leave for Magcon", he asked.
"Who do you think I am to say no. Yes", I said.
"Good", he said.
"I'm so excited", I said.
