Chapter 2

I woke up the next day in the clothes from the previous and realised I had to change before mum caught me. She would be able to tell that I hadn't done work and had gone straight to bed.

It was 5:30am so I rushed downstairs to the kitchen. Mum would expect her breakfast in bed at 6:30 and Logan at 7. Logan being my older brother. Older by 3 years.

When I had changed and got to the kitchen I grabbed the bacon and eggs and turned on the hob. I placed a frying pan for the bacon and a saucepan for the eggs. Today I was doing scrambled eggs. I would have to switch each day.

Only on special occasions like Logan's birthday, football match, parties, mums birthdays and parties would I cook pancakes. Of course I was never allowed at these parties so I was always the cook.

As I finished off the bacon and eggs I took the first serving to mum. What was helpful was that Logan preferred crispier food, so that got me time to give mum hers.

I knocked on the door a few times before entering. I know it was wrong to enter without a reply but the food was about to slip from my hands.

Biggest mistake of my life.

My eyes could not take what they just saw and my mouth gaped open.

I quickly put the tray of food on my mothers side desk and went to check on Logan's food. Luckily it wasn't burnt but I wish I could erase that view.

My mother and maths teacher were... ya know. And I walked in on them. They didn't look shocked just a tad embarrassed. It didn't matter though because as soon as I left they were back at it.

Ewwwwwwwww.

I should probably get this food to Logan before it gets cold.

I placed the food down on a tray before carrying it up to Logan's room. As I entered he was doing the exact same thing as my mum. Not with my maths teacher of course, but his girlfriend. The typical bitch of the school, and to my luck she hated me.

The tray was put on the desk before I left immediately to make myself breakfast. Why did I have to see that? What have I ever done wrong?

I made myself some cereal and filled my water bottle up before heading to school. It was only 7:15 but I didn't do my homework last night and had to get it done. I packed my bag before throwing it on my back and running to my bike.

I couldn't afford a car or anything like it so I had a bike. To my luck I had got a new one recently so I wasn't stuck with a bright pink one from when I was 11.

My feet pedalling as fast as they could to get to school. I had so much homework and I would be in a lot of trouble if I didn't do it.

As I arrived I could feel a pair of eyes on me, but as I turned no one was there. That's strange. It's only 7:30. Who could be here?

Without hesitation I headed into the school and straight to the library. It was always very quiet and no one ever went there so I knew it would be the right place.

As I got my books out I could swear someone was watching me and every time I turned around there was no sign of anyone. I tried calling out to them a few times but no answer. I decided to give up and just start on my homework.

An hour past and it was now 8:20, time to head to form room. Didn't want to be late.

The halls were starting to get busier by the minute so I had to almost push through crowds of people to get to my classroom.

I was almost at the door when someone grabbed me by the throat and pushed me against the wall. My feet were almost inches off the feet and I was struggling to breathe.

"Just a warning, mum will be punishing you later," I rolled my eyes as I realised it was Logan and the usual threat.

"I'm sure you got a lot of punishing last night," I couldn't help but burst out laughing at what I said. I mean sure, I was scared of my brother but you have to make the best out of a situation.

He rolled his eyes and clenched his fists before pushing me up higher until my feet were really not even close to the floor. Using all of my body strength I managed to kick him off of me until he went pummelling into the lockers behind him.

I laughed at the sight as loads of people stopped and stared. They were in shock of me standing up to Logan. It was kind of funny actually.

Logan got held back a few years so he is only in the year above me, educationally. I'm year 12 and he is year 13. He's 20 and I'm 17.

When Logan got back up he almost ran to attack me so I covered my face but I never felt him hit.

As I looked up to see what was taking him so long, two boys around my age, maybe a year or two older came up to me and helped me up. I hadn't realised I was crouched on the floor.

I looked over to see my brother being attacked by a guy who I'd never seen before. I couldn't really see his face but I didn't recognise him.

Before I could stay to get a good look I was pulled through the crowd by the two boys. I was going to ask them to let me go but they didn't until we were in the parking lot.

What? Who are they?

Also, I decided not to end it on a cliff hanger and be nice but who knows

Thanks for the love so far :)
