A GIRL WORE AN old—timed dress, one that looked like it was from the 1800's or somewhere close. She had the same face as Anna, only looked slightly older and more clear. She held a worried expression on her face, as she heard gunshots right outside the window where she stood. She ultimately looked more terrified than worried. She walked into a large rustic study room, with massive bookshelves and a large mahogany table in the middle. The Anna replica walked farther into the room, shouting a name that was all too familiar to them.

"Stefan? Stefan, where are you?" She walked farther, only a few steps, really. She looked around until she saw something, and when she did, her face went pale and let out an agonizing scream. She ran closer to the dead body stuffed behind the table to see if she could save the man, but she could tell his heart stopped beating a long time ago. She looked at her hands that were covered with ruby red blood that wasn't her own. And one second her eyes were on her hands, the next they were on a bloodthirsty creature running towards her.

Anna awoke with a start. She'd been lucid dreaming once again, a rather consistent occurrence ever since she moved to Mystic Falls. They always ended horribly, this nightmare ending earlier than regular.

She looked at her plain white clock that hung high on her wall. 6:24. She sighed, and got up from her bed. She thought it was best to avoid her mother now since she'd see her soon anyways.

A bottle filled with pills labeled with a bold print, 'ANNABELLE RAMSEY, AMBER' laid out on her nightstand. She took one pill and drank a glass of water that was already on her set on her nightstand.

It was chilly outside on the way to the grill. She was thankful the grill was open at such an early hour. She walked inside the beautiful hangout area and looked around, surprised to see Alaric sitting at the bar. She walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder.

"What are you doing here at this god—awful hour... at a bar?" Alaric looked at the girl with a playful glare. "I'm preparing. I could also ask you the same thing." When Anna didn't respond as quickly as she usually would, Alaric jumped to conclusions.

"Is your mom bothering you again? You can stay with me for a bit until you and your mom get out of this phase." Right, Alaric thought this was just a fight between mother and daughter. Really, Anna's mother was an abusive bitch, but she was Alaric's only sister. Obviously Alaric would choose her mothers side over hers..

"No, Ric, you've done enough for me. Thank you, though. I need to get over it." Alaric smiled at his niece. "Good. Sometimes I think you're more civil than your mother." Anna just nodded but in her head, finally sitting down on the stool beside him. The two stared off into nothing, sharing a comfortable and peaceful silence.
