He actually said I love you to me. He never said that to me while we were dating. "I love you's" are a big milestone in any relationship, but you can look over it. This one, I can't. He actually said it. That's major.
Not for us, but for him. He's never said "I love you" to his family, friends , or even his exes so that makes me, Lillian Scott, the first person he's ever said "I love you" to. He smiles big. I know my babe, I know he is changing, by that first "I love you" to roll off his lips.
Maybe this will get better.
