Y/n stared at her lap. Not really bothering to see what was happening around her.

She was afraid anything could make her overthink about, well, anything. Y/n heard someone sit beside her with a thud, slightly startling Y/n. She looked up and her Y/E/C-eyes widened realizing it was Taro beside her.

"Taro?" Y/n called. The boy seemed to break out of his train of thought and smiled sheepishly. "A-Aha, sorry about that Y/n-san. I kinda just sat here without asking huh?" Taro apologizes. "It is okay, right?" Y/n eyes Taro weirdly.

"Yeah."

Taro seemed to let out a breath of relief. "You're, not going to eat?" Taro asks and she shakes her head. "I already ate earlier." Silence falls upon the two and Y/n could already feel the anxiety bubbling in her chest. So she spoke. "A-Amai's death must h-h-have been hard on you huh?" Y/n stammered.

The senior looked at his junior in both shock and sympathy. Taro might not have known Y/n as long as anyone else, but he knew she was close friends with Amai. Amai told him. So he knew Amai's death must have a lot on Y/n.

However due to her nature, he was suprised how much she struggled to talk. "You're to talk Y/n, you must've had a rough time. Losing a friend like that." Taro says. Y/n shook her head. "I have been a mess and its really taken a toll on me. Trust me, but you, you must have been through worst. Thats why I sent Amai for you." Y/n replies.

Taro smiles. "Well, thank you for being so selfless."

Y/n smirks. "Be greatful. I'm not always this selfless with people." and then two started laughing for once in awhile. The laughter died down and Y/n cleared her throat, standing up. "I really appreciated talking to you Taro." Y/n bowed slightly. "You too." Taro chuckled. Y/n flashed a quick smile before leaving.

In class, Y/n was finishing up the homework she had left. Granted, the homework was due next week but she figured she'd get it done now.

There was atleast five more minutes until class started so Y/n knew she had more than enough time to complete it. She was at the last question when the door slid open. It was Shiromi.

"Oh, its just you." she muttered. Y/n cocked her head to the side, confused. "Just thought it was someone else in here. You know, anyone suspicious." Shiromi added. Y/n nodded before returning to her work. Shiromi stood at the door awkwardly, watching the Y/H/C-haired girl work.

Hesitantly, the white-haired girl slid the door close and her footsteps faded as she walked away. As soon as Y/n felt like Shiromi was out of hearing range, she let out a huge sigh of relief. The bell rang, five minutes passing by more quickly than Y/n expected. Thinking she could do the last question at home later, she placed it carefully under her desk.

While the rest of her classmates entered the room, Y/n took the time to stretch her arms and relax for a bit. Unfortunately, the next teacher came in as soon as the last students sat down. Y/n sighed heavily, pulling out her notebooks and stationaries once again. As the teacher began teaching, Y/n glanced around the room quickly without moving her head.

Only her eyes.

Carefully, she pulled out another notebook. Not a diary, she was to old for those. It was just an ordinary notebook with some notes, notes authority figures like the police would die for. As she scanned the neat writings in the book, she felt her chest tighten.

Y/n did promise herself she would try steer away from the problem to help her mental health. However, she thought solving it would be better. It was some way of finally putting herself at rest. And since the police weren't and still aren't really reliable in doing that, Y/n figured she'd do it herself.
