Megami laid back in her seat as she stretched her arms above her head.
The silverette was at home and there were very important guests downstairs that her parents were entertaining. However, Megami preferred not to conversate with anyone on business for tonight. She'd rather kick back and relax, maybe do a little school work. Act normal for once.
As Megami opened the file on her desk, she remembered the first few days her and Y/n made contact. Well, the student council and Y/n but thats different.
The times her and Y/n would learn about each other from simple glances or exchange of words. Megami figured Y/n learnt more about her than she did with Y/n. She remembered the days in the student council office with all the subtle teasing and jokes. Like a high school crush scenario.
She caressed the file in her hand gently with her thumb.
But then the present hit, hard.
They've stopped seeing each other. They barely talk, let alone glance at each others way. Could it be the fire that lit their hearts were fading?
Megami feared it was. So she put her hand over her heart, feeling it beat erratically. She still loved Y/n.
A sigh of relief escaped her lips but it immediately got caught in her throat. Megami still loved her, but did Y/n still love her?
She hoped she did. She placed the file back on her desk, getting up from the chair and flopping down onto her mattress on her back. The silverette stared at the ceiling, feeling an empty hole tear in her chest from the cold feeling around her.
"Y/n, do you still dream of me?"
Megami shifted on her bed so she was lying on her side.
"Now this is just getting ridiculous."
_______________________________________The fire burned intensely. Like a serious passion.
And for Y/n it was important.
She was making soup.
"Ouch, dammit." she cursed and began to suck on her finger. "The third time I touch the pot." she muttered, going back to what she was doing. Y/n was making dinner for herself again. It was a normal routine for her now, better eating and more sleeping. Right now she was making lemon chicken soup with salad.
She wasn't a bad cook. It was just that unfortunately today she seemed to have a bit of bad luck. Once she was done, she grabbed a ladle from the drawer and gave herself a bowl of soup. "I'll keep the rest for later." she said to herself and put a lid on the pot.
The Y/H/C-haired girl sat down on her couch with a bowl of soup in her hand, a plate of salad and a cup of juice on the coffee table infront of her with the tv remote on her lap. Since she lived alone and had no one to eat with on the dinner table for four, she often sat on the couch for all her meals. Back when Megami still came over they did sit there. It just felt right.
Nowadays, Y/n rather kick her feet on the coffee table and watch tv while eating. She smiled pitifully to herself when she remembered how she'd sit at the dinner table all alone.
She didn't care though. Shes getting used to the loneliness but she doesn't wish it stays this way. Somewhere deep down she hopes a certain someone would come back.
Y/n shakes those thoughts out of her head for the meantime and tries to focus on the movie infront of her. It was the same one she watched when she stormed out of the student council office and ran home. The one that made her realize how much she cared for Megami. That might as well be a century ago Y/n told herself.
