September 13, 2863 - 9:35 PM
This was it. A battle that would determine the fate of both the Temporal American Empire and the beasts that terrorized the settlement of Graceland... this unfolded in the eidolons' home dimension, an unnamed space that seemed to be present in various universes as a large physical object, a space made for the purpose of housing the Eidolon Overlord to exist and culminate its very being with the room provided. As coordinates to the space housing the Eidolon Overlord were accessed by multitudes of Imperial ships, Arturius would be one to side with the eidolons to try and wipe out the Americans and their forces.
Division 177, one of the military's divisions that made up only a tiny fraction of the massive elite force, was summoned to deal with the head beast.
The ISV Aeon was one among many that led a squadron of battlecruisers to fight the Eidolon Overlord head-on. Most military generals would have claimed this type of strategy to be a daft and ludicrous move, but Imperial captain Bryce Hux didn't care. Putting the lifelong quest for his parents' affection aside, he wanted to set in stone America's multiversal superiority, and leave a legacy that will make him a known name among the cosmos. He wanted to bring Arturius and the eidolons to their knees for the aforementioned purpose, and as a way to rub it into the faces of current and future enemies.
Hux stood on the bridge of the Aeon with a gloating smirk on his face as his squadron charged into battle. Bringing in a few capital ships to hold the line, his squadron opened fire on the Eidolon Overlord, dealing only a tiny bit of damage - but the Overlord swung a hand at some of the Imperial ships. This wouldn't matter however, as the appearance of American forces seemed to be exponential at this point. The home division of Hux and the rest of the deployed vessels, Division 177, was pulling out all the stops on the Eidolon Overlord - they would continue to fling everything they had at it.
Hux was repeatedly radioing other ships, at the same time giving warnings on the Eidolon Overlord's moves and any dangers Division 177 seemed to be facing. "All ships in 177, resources are running a risk of depletion, restock immediately!" Hux shouted in the midst of battle, as parts of the ship were rumbling from the aftershock of the Eidolon Overlord's attacks and the explosions of some of Division 177's ships. At this point in time, Arturius reappeared on the ship for one final match with Hux - he took off his black coat, revealing a red and gray gothic outfit that made him the subject to much ridicule from the captain.
"Filthy American! You may have reached the Eidolon Overlord, but nothing will stand in my way on my quest to have you stopped! Your nation has stood on its pedestal for too long, and it's time someone's made it topple!" Arturius challenged Hux to a fistfight by presenting his fists. Hux adjusted his command cap as Arturius continued... "How about fisticuffs? The fate of the multiverse is in our hands, and I will ensure it will go in my favor!"
"It's too late for us to just simply step down from our position in this world... you're just over a thousand years too late, Arturius. We had our beginnings in 1776, now it's 2863 - America stands as a multiversal empire that brings liberty, order, and peace to people of all dimensions and universes, either they be comprehensible to the human mind or not at all. And now that it's reached that stage in its lifetime... I state again, it is too late for you to try and stop our nation from doing what it does best. What will you do about it?" Hux spoke with a solemn look on his face, showing that beneath his young shell hid his serious and patriotic nature, showing in its full glory. Arturius looked like he wasn't going to do anything...
"..." Arturius threw a swift punch at Hux, who wound up catching it with the little time he had to react. Hux put one arm underneath Arturius' raised arm, and swiftly pulled his clenched fist downwards, cracking his arm. This caused Arturius to utilize telekinesis on Hux to try and have him thrown to the east wing of the bridge. Hux was fortunate enough to catch onto a pole situated near some computers, circling around on it at the speed he was going, and jettisoning himself towards the warlock. Arturius tried stopping him in mid-air, but before he could react, a jackboot hit him square in the cheek, leaving an imprint where it hit him. Both Arturius and Hux clattered onto the Aeon's metal floor, with something dropping from Arturius' pocket and sliding over to Hux.
Hux caught it just in time, looking at what it was just as he was preparing to defend himself from another one of Arturius' attacks. It was an iron casting of a Nordic rune that seemed to give Arturius the power of luck, a gibu auja charm stolen from the planet of Dalassia... "The hell is this thing? Whatever it is, I'm keeping it as a spoil!" Hux shoved it in his pocket and said that in Arturius' face, just as he tried to swipe for it by swiftly going for the captain's pockets. Hux narrowly avoided every one of Arturius' attempts to reacquire the charm. "Where'd you even get that rune from, anyway?" Hux asked in a gloating manner, as he continued to dodge and counter Arturius' attacks.
In the middle of a few thrown punches, kicks, and fire spells, Arturius would seem to knock out the answers in the middle of combat: "I took it from some poor sap in Dalassia just to ruin his paradise and bliss, I made sure that his friends' attempts to stop the theft were futile... there, are you happy now?!" Arturius threw one hard-hitting punch at Hux's arm, causing it to bleed profusely.
Hux's arm bled out, as Arturius was letting out a menacing cackle to signify his victory... or so it seemed. "It seems I have bested you in fist-fighting, young captain. You and your army have lost - it is time America has surrendered to me and the eidolons. All other attempts to stop me will be made useless!" The captain's expression turned from dumbstruck to one consumed by unbridled rage, his eyes making him see red upon seeing Arturius. "Ha ha ha, I'm sure one day you will see your salvation, and be ready to lay eyes upon your redemption soon... when you're put in the torture chambers with four of my lovely, limb-ripping fri-"
In less than a second, Arturius let out a broken gasp. He had been shot.
Hux had quickly drawn his energy pistol and shot Arturius in the kidney. He had the blaster set on 'corrode-eliminate' - Arturius' kidney was now being slowly destroyed at the molecular level. Hux quickly got up from where he was recovering, having complete disregard for his wound and letting out an indignant and rage-filled roar, pinning the downed Arturius onto a console to wring him of all life in his body by the neck, flinging personal-level insults at him in the process...
He would proceed to slam Arturius' head on the display until bits of his brain matter could be seen sticking to parts of the console. He wouldn't stop there, dragging him to other nearby parts of the ship to do the same thing, making sure the so-called tamer of the eidolons was truly dead. However, this wouldn't be the last breath Arturius would draw, having gone out with a racing mind and pounding heart... he would be unconscious, however.
Hux, now seeing sweat beads form on his forehead and seeing some sweat drip from the bill of his command cap, had to take some time to regain composure as he looked at the main screen of the Aeon... something was detected near the Eidolon Overlord. No - in fact, something was detected inside the Overlord.
"Oh my god..."
