Chapter 3: Secret Crush?

"I'll pass on the food," I tell Faith and stand on my tip toed for a second to turn around and leave.

"Be safe, I'll catch you later sis," she replies.

I exit and go my parent's house. I end up being lazy and going to sleep after I eat dinner.

Suddenly, I hear a buzz on my phone.

Unknown: hey

I'm dumb enough to answer because I feel like it's a familiar person

Me: um hi

Unknown: guess who I am girly

Me: uhh r u a girl?

Unknown: nope

Me: oh your a boy?

Unknown: maybe...

Me: are you a boy I've met earlier?

Unknown: yep

Me: kyle...

Unknown: no but if your into silver eyes then yes

Me: hi mason and sort of lol

Mason: congrats want a cookie?

Me: nah I'm too lazy to reach rn

Mason: lol I'm actually laying down

Me: same

Mason: do you have a favorite color?

Me: yeah, all colors really except of yellow and green

Mason: oh, those aren't the best colors but I like gray, black and blue

Me: cool

Mason: what do you wanna be in the future?

Me: An author...

Mason: Ahh, I think your my secret admirer..

Me: lol what about you?

Mason: Haven't thought about it yet...

Me: oh... I'll kick you in the balls later night

Mason: Ouch...I think I can still feel it

After that I charge my phone up and fall asleep.

The next morning I receive a new text message from Mason.

Good morning

I deliver a good morning text message back and he says meet me outside in an hour

I text back why should I trust you...?

A message because I'm reckless

So in one hour I take a quick shower, get dressed, do my hair, eat, brush my teeth and add some blue highlights in the front of my hair.

I meet him outside "Where are you taking me?" I ask.

"Library," he says simply.

"Why are we going to the library?" I ask.

"Why so many questions?" he asks and looks at me. "I'm not gonna kill you, I just want friends," he admits.

"But you already have-" he cuts my off by putting his index finger on my lip.

He looks at his finger on my lip and says "Shh, maybe I want more friends."

We're in the library, looking at books.

I choose a good romance, action book, Just Friends by Monica Murphy.

I hear it's a good book and soon I will find out.

He checks out a book called The Hating Game: A Novel

He walks me back to my house but while we we're walking he asked if we could trade books for a week and then tell each other what it's about.

Me being me, I said sure.

As we swapped books his hand accidentally touched mine, leaving my hand with the tingles. I pretended not to notice but my mind was actually clouded around the thought.

I went home and ate a Snicker while I was in my room watching TV. Time passed me by and soon it was 7:19 but Riverdale was about to come on so I grabbed some popcorn.

At 9, I went ahead and went to sleep with the TV on silent.

I didn't care, I had a long day and soon a long rest.
