She Belongs to the Alpha King

Chapter 4

Once the man moved closer to Lily, she lost it. She immediately began to scream and thrash around. He kept trying to get her to look at him bit it just wasn't happening. Whenever she would look into his eyes, she would feel calm and she knew that she shouldn't.

Soon, Iris came bursting into the door like a mad woman, only setting Lily off even farther.

"What the hell do you think you're doing you asshat? Can't you see that she is petrified of your giant ass?" She yelled at the man.

They went quiet for a moment and just looked at each other, eyes glazing over.

Iris grabbed his arm, pulling him out of the room. "I don't care if she's your mate or not, Damon! You can't just scare her to death and then use your powers on her! I don't care if you're the king or not!" Iris yelled at the man who was supposedly Damon.

"Let go of me woman!" Damon growled from outside the door, scaring Lily and causing her to whimper. "I WANT TO GO TO MY MATE!" He yelled loudly, causing Lily to go into hysterics once more.

"Look what you're doing you oaf!" Iris reprimanded, her voice getting farther from Lily.

Soon, the sounds of Iris's yelling became softer and more muffled to the point where Lily couldn't understand what was being said.

As the adrenaline left Lily's body, she could feel her body begin to ache from the amount of stress that she had put on it. Her side's were screaming in pain, letting her know that her little tangent had been very unappreciated.

Eventually, Lily was able to maneuver herself up onto the bed and get comfortable.

It was quite a while before Iris came in carrying food. Lily immediately stiffened up at the sight of her, remembering how she had hit the man. Her earlier fears came back to her and she began to get anxious.

"Woah, woah, woah, there is no need to get upset, Darling." Iris said soothingly, trying to calm the abused girl in front if her.

Lily only began to calm a little bit. However, the smell that the food was giving off was really enticing to her.

Lily perked up a little bit, attempting to see what was on the platter that Iris was carrying. She inhaled deeply and her mouth began to water.

Iris noticed the way that Lily was looking at the platter and sat it down near her, stepping away to give her space.

Lily looked up at Iris then back down a the food a couple times. This could just be a trick.

"Sweetie, eat up, you need food." Iris said softly, nodding at Lily when she looked up at her once more. Iris had found out that Lily didn't understand much when it came to speaking. However, Lily was very good at picking up on body language.

Lily reached out timidly and picked up a strawberry off of the plate and popped the whole thing into her mouth, leaf and all.

Iris just gasped and her jaw dropped, trying not to startle the poor girl. Lily just looked up at her with big doe eyes.

Iris held her hands up and then slowly reached for a strawberry in front of Lily and held it out for her to watch. She pulled the leaves off gently and then handed it back to the innocent little girl in front of her.

Lily made an 'o' face and popped the strawberry into her mouth, nodding in approval once she realized that it was better when it had less leaves.

Iris just laughed softly at the girl. "Do you know how to speak much?" She questioned.

"Um..." Lily thought for a moment, "no." She stated.

Iris just nodded and held up the different foods in front of Lily. "Turkey, strawberry, cheese, grape, raspberry, and ice cream."

Lily just nodded slowly as Iris introduced the new foods to her. The ice cream really intrigued her. Slowly, she scooped up some of it with her hands. It was cold! She quickly put it down and picked her fingers. "Oh."

Lily really liked the ice cream, but before she could reach for it again, Iris stopped her.

"No, sweetheart, you eat it with a spoon." She said softly, handing Lily the spoon and showing her how to use it.

Nodding, Lily got a giant bite of ice cream and shoved it into her mouth rather quickly, despite Iris's gasp and warnings not to do what she had already done.

Immediately, Lily's eyes shot wide open and she gasped. "Cold!" She yelled, mouth full of ice cream. Her arms began waving around frantically and she spit it out, looking at Iris with wide eyes.

Iris couldn't help herself, she began laughing hysterically. Lily looked at Iris as if something was wrong with her. She had never heard someone laugh like this, only when they were hurting her. Lily wasn't hurt, so she didn't know why Iris was laughing.

"Oh sweetie, you need to eat smaller bites." Iris said, wiping tears from her eyes.

"Not good." Lily said matteroffactly. "Not good, not good, not good."

Iris just laughed and handed Lily a piece of turkey. Lily's eyes lit up ad she tasted the turkey. "Mmm, good!" She smiled.

"Yes, very good, one if my favorites." Iris smiled. She was glad that Lily could speak a bit.

Lily quickly ate everything that she could fit into her tiny body, which wasn't a lot.

Iris frowned as she looked at what little had been eaten. This caused panic to flare up in Lily, she didn't know if she had done something wrong.

The panic in Lily led her to sick her finger into her throat, something that they would make her do if they deemed that she had eaten too much.

"Woah!" Iris grabbed Lily's hand and pulled it away from her. "No, don't do that!" Iris scolded Lily, confusing her and making tears prick up in her eyes. "You need more food." She elaborated, confusing Lily even more.

Lily just shook her head, "No food, no food, food bad, no food." Lily just kept repeating that over and over again. The same words that they had drilled into her head every time she ate too much.

"Food good, need food, need more food." Iris repeated back at Lily, holding her arms in her own. Tears began to fill up in Iris's eyes. How could someone have been treated so poorly?

Lily just shook her head, eyes full of unshed tears. "Why?" She sobbed, "Why no hurt?" She was so confused.

Iris gently rubbed her arms and shook her head. "No hurt, hurting is bad. No hurt." She said softly, wiping away Lily's tears from her cheeks.

"Why," Lily fumbled with her words, "why man here? He hurt?" She asked, fear evident in her eyes.

"No! No, no. He won't hurt." Iris said softly. "He will be good to you."

Lily just looked at her like what she was saying was a foreign concept to her. "Where?" She asked.

"Where what?" Iris questioned.

"Where, um, where D- Dam- um, man?" Lily stuttered over her words. For some reason, she couldn't forget the words that the man has spoken to her, nor could she forget the way that he had made her feel. She wanted to see him again, from a distance. A very long distance.

Iris just smiled. "He is away, he will be home in two days." Lily just nodded in response.

Iris looked down and noticed that Lily had made quite a big mess while she was eating. "Alright, honey, let's get you into the bath."
