Everything was dark. As Lily looked around she feared that she was back in that horrid place that she had escaped from. Maybe she didn't even escape. Maybe it was just a dream.

The only thing she could hear was a faint beeping and some very muffled male voices. She strained to try to understand them.

The harder she tried to understand them, the more tired she became but the clearer the voices were.

"-she had waited any longer... died in a month... broken wrist... hypothermia... Alpha..."

Lily didn't understand anything that the person was saying. Sighing, she decided to just tune them out. Listening so hard made the beeping louder and her head hurt more.

It didn't take very long for Lily to start drifting back off to sleep.

Slowly, Lily opened her eyes, only to close them once more as light invaded her eyes.

"Oops, sorry." A female voice said, and the lights turned off.
Lily's eyes flew open and she scooted back on the hospital bed that she was currently on, flinching when she put weight on her wrist.

"Oh no, you don't have any reason to be scared of me!" The woman held up her hands as if she were surrendering, but that only caused Lily to flinch back even more.

Sighing and frowning, the woman put her hands behind her back. "I promise, I'm not going to hurt you."

Lily began to study the woman. She was tall, fit, and overall looked like she could snap Lily in half if she so wished. She had long brown hair and striking green eyes. She wore a concerned expression, something that Lily had never seen before.

Lily began to study the room. The annoying beeping seemed to come from a machine that she was attached to. There were all sorts of things that Lily had never seen before.

"Do you know your name?" The woman asked.

Lily tilted her head to the side and thought, what was her name? She furrowed her brows and said the only thing that she had been consistently called for as long as she had been alive. "Um, Bitch?"

The woman's eyebrows shot straight up and her jaw dropped. She looked as if she didn't believe Lily.

"Well, I think that I'm going to go talk to the Alpha and see what he wants to do. Maybe he can find out your real name." She muttered the last part, not that Lily really understood much of what she was saying anyways. She certainly didn't know who or what "Alpha" was.

The lady slowly walked out, giving Lily a small wave as she walked out the door. Lily didn't know if she could trust her, but she came to the conclusion that, if she had wanted to hurt her, she probably would have by now.

It was what seemed like forever before the lady came back. Lily had gotten so bored. She had begun to play with buttons and things that made funny noises.

Eventually, Lily heard a knock on the door. Slowly, the lady poked her head into the room. "Can I come in?" She asked.

Understanding enough of what she was saying, Lily nodded.

The lady smiled and came into the room and stood in front of Lily's bed.
"So, I think you will be glad to know, that, your name is Lily, not Bitch. You are 18 years old, and... erm," she paused and looked at Lily sadly, "you were kidnapped when you were 2 years old."

Lily barely had any clue what she was saying. But she did understand that her name was "Lily."
She slowly nodded, trying to look like she understood.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, I'm Iris, the Alpha's sister. Oh wait, you don't know what an alpha is." She paused once more, "Or werewolves. Huh." She rambled. Lily just stared at Iris. She was very confused with what she was saying.

"Alright, well, we are gonna get you dressed and get you some food." Iris said with a smile.

Lily perked up at the mention of food. She could feel her mouth start to water at the thought. The only food that she had ever eaten was bread and beans. She wasn't aware of what else existed.

"Alright, well let's get you dressed." Iris said with a smile, holding up a plain white dress for Lily to try on.

Lily hesitantly stood up, slightly wobbling on her knees. Iris reached out to offer her a hand but Lily shrank back in fear, falling onto the floor with a thud.

"Please no." Lily whimpered, covering her face and curling into a ball to protect herself from an attack. She ignored her body protesting against her movements but she couldn't help it.

"Oh, honey. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Iris said softly. She held her hands up yet again.

Lily just looked up at her, trembling where she sat. She was so scared that she would get beaten or that she would get sent back. She just couldn't go back.
