The waves crashed onto the shore continuously. The wind fluttered through the air, dragging my hair with it. I looked up at the cliff, squinting. I saw my knife had somehow been stabbed into the side of the cliff. Some rocks were sticking out of the side, perfect for rock climbing. As I made it to the last rock, I started to reach for my knife. Suddenly, the rock I was standing on gave in and broke off. I fell onto the soft sand. I sighed as I heard some groaning from somewhere. I could only imagine how Pepper and Jason were.

"I hope she's ok." Pepper said, as Jason and Pepper treaded through the forest.
"Those bandits surrounded and outnumbered her. I don't know if she would be able to make it." Jason replied.
"Don't give up on her. I know she can do it!" Pepper exclaimed.
"You can't count on everybody..." Jason added.
"Well, I'm sorry for trying to be optimistic!" Pepper yelled.
"I'm speaking the truth! You can't sugar coat everything. The world is cruel nowadays." Jason commented.

A twig snapped in the forest, startling the pair. Silhouettes appeared in the horizon, heading their direction. They stayed silent, and backed away slowly. But before long, they started to make a mad dash towards the train station. They're they found an abundance of roamers banging down the walls. Jason climbed the walls quickly, and helped a struggling Pepper. By the time she almost made it up, a roamer or two had knocked down the section she was climbing.

The two fell to the ground, with a giant wall falling onto Jason's legs. He winced and pushed it off. Pepper helped him up, the two running towards the train door.

I lied there, like little blob on a beach. I didn't know if I should've stayed there in ignorant bliss or actually do something about the distant groaning. I knew if were to go and try to kill those roamers, I'd either be eaten or tracked down by those bandits. Maybe they already know I'm here, and if I want to live then I better be running. But... the crashing waves and birds chirping were soothing. Continuously, the water dragged my hair around, but lost its grasp quickly after. Maybe I should just stay here. Kate, what the hell are you doing? Snap out of it crazy woman.

I guess nothing stops my will to live. I got up and starting digging around my satchel for anything that would be a good substitute weapon. I found a extremely sharpened pencil. Perfect. I started to walk through the forest of regrets and sadness, that I have walked through so many times. As I left the Oregon coast, I came across a small boy lying next to a tree. He had a large cut on his cheek. I guess we were in the same predicament. He stared at me with teary eyes.

He had a large bag of supplies, but was obviously covered in scars and bruises. Poor kid was probably his families only chance at survival. It seemed if he didn't get patched up, he would die. I guess it would be the perfect chance to snatch his bag, but...

I'm not a bandit. I wanna protect people that's the truth. I dug around my satchel and found a small set of bandages. It was my only shot at helping him. I placed it in his hands, and just stood up and walked away. I guess I just wanted to help him. I kept walking until I reached the train station. It was kinda silent. Until I went to the other side, of course. A large section of the wall had fallen, and I saw Pepper shooting down roamers and Jason struggling to kick open the door.

I looked at my pencil, realizing the most harmful thing I could do to these roamers was give them lead poisoning. I pushed through the crowd. Pepper had been doing a good job holding them back, but we definitely needed more help. I started a stun the zombies with my fragile little pencil, it broke... of course. At that point, Brian had climbed out a window and started shooting more roamers. He came in to save us. Just like the girl next door. Nice, but not in a heart that's pure. Sorry, what?

The roamers just kept coming, until Jason finally opened the door. Jason quickly ran in, Brian and I quickly followed. Pepper almost made it, but the door slammed shut. She struggled to open it. Jason struggled to as well. Her worried expression getting more worried by the second. The roamers were getting closer. It felt as time was slowing down. My peripheral vision blurred. At some point, the roamers bit into Pepper's neck. She got tackled down, and by then, my eyes were glued shut. She... just died.

It was silent for a bit afterwards. Even though roamers were banging on windows, we just stood there.

" That was brave what you did. Charging in the crowd with a pencil..." Brian told me.
"You were braver, you were safe in here, but you decided to help us." I replied.
"Well, before this I was training to be in the military. I don't know, I just love to help out." Brian explained.

I guess we had good stuff in common. Suddenly, a window broke, as a roamer stuck its hand through. It grabbed Saddie's hair, but Andy immediately grabbed her away. More and more windows shattered. I grabbed the closest weapon to me, which was a bat. "We need to get out of here!" Jason yelled. We all agreed, and decided the best way out was the hatch on the roof. Saddie opened it, and quickly screamed afterwards. I ran up to her and saw a roamer looking down. I pushed her out of the way and pointed my bat at it. I climbed up and bashed its head in. Unfortunately, there were more.

I swung my bat, knocking roamers off the train. Everyone else climbed up, and as soon as we did, gunshots fired throughout the air. Bandits. "JUMP!" I screamed. One by one, we jumped down and began to run through the forest. It seemed they were one step ahead as they had sent a match to burn down the forest. We could only keep running. Gunshots kept coming, as we dodged walls of fire. I saw Brian fall onto the ground, bleeding from the shoulder. I stopped to help him.

By now, gunshots and fire wasn't our only problem. Roamers began to surround us. Brian's clothes caught on fire, as a desperately tried to save him. Then, I felt a warm and painful feeling in my stomach. I fell to the ground, seeing blood soaking my sweater. I was shot.

(A/N: so uh yeah. Hope you enjoyed that. I don't know why I randomly added a "My Babysitters A Vampire" reference in the middle heh. Ok bye.)
