We all spread out through the rafters of the school. They weren't very much rafters, per say, but every now and then you'd reach a small gap spanning horizontally to each side of the building. When you looked through, you'd see what was ever left of the third floor. Just roamers, a few raiders looking for us, and blissful rodents who had found a new home. To our surprise, there were rooms up there. Apparently this used to be a fourth floor, but it just went out of use. They ended up just making it an extension of the roof. In a cooler sense, there were actually interesting stuff up there. Like student files and stuff. I guess it was more out of use by the students.
I grabbed some interesting sounding files. "Kara, Max, Megan, Eddie" I giggled to myself. I threw the files down to the floor. "Damn. Student files. You're a good finder." Max smiled. I looked around the place. Kara and Saddie sat alone, Kara comforting her. Eddie, Megan, Max, and I all sat down; we picked up the folders. I held up Megan's, shaking it side to side with a goofy face. She was a mysterious girl so far, I wanted to know more.

Name: Max Wells
Studying: Nursing
Height: 5'2
P/A: Brown hair, hazel eyes, tan skin.
Additional Info: A social boy, makes friends easily and is very respectful.I grabbed Kara's folder. As I tried opening it, she appeared towering over our little circle. "What're you guys doing?" She asked. "Having a bit of fun before our imminent death." Eddie replied.
"Maybe, instead, you could help us look for a way out?" She said, walking away. With a sigh, Megan and I went to help Kate, while Eddie and Max went to comfort Saddie. The three of us opened a small window and looked down. The fall would be deadly, not to mention the struggle of trying to climb down. We should look at the other options before jumping to conclusions. We kept searching.
Megan pointed out a large hole in the ground, leading down into the third floor. The area below it wasn't very populated. Good shot, but maybe the enemies were out a view. We stood up from inspecting the hole and kept searching. I looked in an old storage closet. I opened it, shrieking softly after. Kara and Megan ran over. Megan cringed at the sight. Kara had a disgusted look. The smell was enough to make me retract a few steps back. "God." Kara said, simply leaving it at that and walking away. I opened my eyes once again. Frowning at the sight. A hanging corpse, swaying a back and forth. "We could use that rope, too..." Megan said, hesitantly.
I sighed. "We can't show Saddie this, it could break her. She's fragile as it is..." I said. The corpse was moving slightly, it had turned. It groaned loudly, trying to grab us. I pointed my gun and shot at it. It ceased movement, limping its arms. I walked up to the body, holding my breath. Slowly removing the corpse from the rope. It fell to the ground. "Sorry..." I whispered. I pulled the rope down and rolled it up. We closed the closet slowly. It creaked loudly. Shutting the door, Megan and I walked away.
I threw the rope down to Kara's feet, she put the end of it around a nail she had hammered into the window seal. The rest of the noose rolled down. Unfortunately, it didn't reach far. "We need another rope..." Kara explained. She was right, if we didn't wanna break our legs, we would have to find something else.
