Shoot. Shoot, shoot! I should've come up with a better plan. My thoughts whizzed around my head like they were riding a roller coaster. I pointed my gun at Carrie. She giggled lightly, and swung her feet faster. "No worries, hon. I like my battles a little close up!" She said, jumping off the van. Immediately disarming me, she threw me to the ground. Helpless, I watched as she swung her hand around, signalling for the bandits to stay behind her. "Pathetic, really, they call that their leader?" She scoffed, walking off. I was suddenly grabbed and tied up.Thrown into the van with Eddie and Saddie, I chewed up the tape over my mouth and spit it. "What were you thinking? Leaving the group isn't safe!" I explained. They did the same as me with their tape and tried to reason. "We saw bandits. They were obviously plotting something!" Eddie said. "You don't know how hard it is to help out. I mean, if you don't help, you'll be sacrificed or something. No one wants useless garbage."
He leaned back. I sighed at the realization it was kinda true, nowadays you have to be strong or useful to survive. I leaned back on a sharp object, piercing my sweater. I turned around and used it to cut off the ropes around my wrist. The others did so too. We opened up the door to see the entire building being attacked. We ran quickly, towards the ladder leading up to the roof. I helped the two up, then going myself. We made it to the edge of the roof, I quickly made a plan. "Ok, I'm gonna jump and break the window below us. Follow me after." I explained. The two agreed. I tied a rope to the ledge of the roof. I held tight and jumped off. I swung into a window that was below the ledge, smashing it to pieces.
Megan set Andy down in a small closet. "Stay here, we'll come back when we're all grouped together. From my calculations and tests I've seen before, you might have a day before turning. We can whip up something, though! Hopefully." She murmured at the end. She quickly ran away, pushing up her glasses and holding a bat tightly. She patrolled the halls, like a tiger patrolling its jungle. She walked like it was all out war, and it was.
Max and Kara hid behind a flipped over bookshelf. Many raiders bursted into the giant library, Max and Kara quieted down. Kara inconspicuously aimed her rifle. She laid her finger on the smooth trigger. Her crosshairs circled a raider's knee. As she was about to shoot, somebody bursted in. With cuffed jeans, a leather jacket, high boots, and pink long waving hair; a lady wielding a dagger and rifle, with a pistol in her back pocket, stood at the library's entrance. Carrie. "Where are the others?" She scoffed. The raiders shrugged, explaining their troubles. Carrie rolled her eyes. Max looked over, surprised that Kara hadn't lowered her gun. Now, though, she aimed for Carrie's shoulder.
Max slowly shook his head, demanding quietly for Kara to stop. Kara looked over, then quickly looked back. She pulls the trigger. Max reached his arm out, but once the shot had fired, he cringed and curled his fingers into a fist. The bullet skimmed past her shoulder, leaving but a small mark. Blood still gave in, leaking out slowly. She grasped her shoulder swiftly, looking at the bookshelf Kara was behind. Dumbfounded and scolding herself, Kara quickly snuck behind another bookshelf. Max grabbed his knife, holding it tight. Carrie looked behind the bookshelf Kara was originally behind, which was across from Max's hiding spot. Carrie walked slowly, quickly reaching a spot in front of Max. He quietly held in a gasp and looked at his knife.
I, Kate, landed into the hallway from the window. I waited for Eddie and Saddie, but they weren't coming. I looked out the window, but quickly retracted my head when I saw a raider patrolling the school's perimeter. No wonder they didn't come. I hesitated, but came to the conclusion to help them. Once the raider's back was turned away, I reached my hand towards them. Fortunately, it was grabbed. I pulled the person down, it was Eddie. He lightly hit the wall, but I was swiftly able to pull him through the window. I reached up once again, my hand getting grasped by Saddie. I pulled her down, but realized something. I hadn't checked for the bandit.
