Footsteps start getting louder so I force myself to wake up. I stand up just in time to be greeted by a man, the same man who approached me in the bar.
"Anya, Anya, Anya. Your ID here says you are twenty but I know you are lying." He grabs me roughly around the throat, an angry and bloodthirsty look in your eye. "Tell me how old you really are and I won't hurt you."
He's a good liar but so am I. I fake whimper. "I'm only fifteen. Please let me go. I promise I won't tell anyone."
"Good. Well... good for me, not you." He slaps me across the face and goes to tie something around my eyes. I let him because I have an idea as to what's coming up next. He guides me out of the room and takes off my blindfold. The room is clean and bright, a deep contrast compared to where I was before. My eyes take a moment to adjust. There's a man standing in front of me, he's smaller and older, with round glasses and a bald head. A second door stands off to the side. I'll have to be careful about what's in there.
"This man will get you ready." I'm not really sure what to think of that but I feel safer once he leaves. I can take on a little old man, not so sure about the burly man with a gun.
"What are you going to do to me?"
"My sweet, I'm going to make you desirable." What? He's going to MAKE me desirable? What the hell am I right now then? Screw the little old man, he doesn't know anything. "Now take off all your clothes."
I do as he says because I'm supposed to be playing the part of a scared little girl. Scared little girls do as they're told. The little old man begins circling me, eyeing me up and down. I can't help but feel a little self conscious. He did just say I wasn't desirable. Before I can say anything, he disappears into the second room and I put myself on high alert. He comes back with a dress bag and a few boxes. It was just a closet, Kaya, relax. Who am I kidding? I am relaxed. This is actually pretty exciting. I wonder what exactly a person wears right before they get sold off to some perverted man. I stop wondering about what I'll be wearing when I begin to think about all those girls who are actually sold off. Way to be insensitive, Kaya. I mentally slap myself when the little old man drops the things he is carrying on the ground.
"I'll be outside the door. There's a shower through that door. Get ready and then knock when you're done. Don't think about trying to escape, you'll regret it."
I walk into the second room and find, along with what could pass for a mini store, a small shower and sink. The sink is covered with make-up. I guess I have to do that as part of my getting ready. The warm water feels amazing, and I'm surprised that there are few injuries to my body. The bruises on my abdomen and leg from a couple of days ago are gone and there are only a few cuts from when I was, presumably, thrown into the previous room. As the water hits my face I feel a slight pain. I remember the busted lip I must have gotten earlier. I wash myself quickly so I can get to the mirror; I really should have looked in it before.
My face doesn't look as bad as it feels, only a slight discoloration is showing, nothing that makeup can't cover. A touch of concealer and foundation later and there isn't even a mark left. I leave the rest of my makeup natural looking except for a bright red lip. In all the rush to take a shower I haven't even seen what I'll be wearing. A red lip goes with everything though so it doesn't matter what I'm wearing. There's no time to do anything with my hair so I decide to just let it air dry.
I make my way back out into the bigger room and prepare myself for whatever may be lying inside the garment bag. 1... 2... 3...
Hmm, this is actually really cute. It's a dress made to look like two separate pieces. The top is a white bustier with black lace covering it. The bottom is a ruffle material; white with black detailing. It cinches at the waist and makes me look pretty hot, which I guess is probably the point in this situation. Unfortunately the heels are a good six inches which will make it difficult to have to run.
Now that I'm ready there's only one thing left to do. I walk over to the door and open it.
"Hey, I said to knock when you were done!" Little old man is all by himself in an empty hallway. There are no cameras in sight but there may be hidden ones.
"I'm sorry. I must have forgot. Do I look... alright?"
"Yes, yes. Let's go back in and take a final look at you." Little old man is eyeing me up and down. Disgusting.
Once we are back in the room I move quickly to knock him out. I'm not sure my time window so I have to make sure I'm back as soon as possible...
I take off my heels because no sane person willingly wears six inch heels and head out into the hall. People are coming my way so I run and hide around a corner. They miss me but I'm still watching to make sure they don't go out of the room I just came out of. With no real plan, I head back in the direction they were coming from. I stumble upon an entire hall lined with doors. I can't just go into all of them though, especially if they're filled with people. Going into just one couldn't hurt though.
I make my way from the second to last door. The last door usually has a lot of people in it, it'll be one of the most important rooms. The second to last usually has security. I take a few seconds to mentally prepare myself for confrontation and open the door.
It's empty. I was right about the security room though. Clearly no one was expected to make an escape though so nothing is locked. These are the moments when people think, "This is way too easy. There must be some sort of catch." Well, to someone who has been in plenty of situations like these I can assure you that the majority of the time there is no catch. People get overconfident in themselves and don't take the precautions they should. Sucks for them, but good for me.
I reach into my mouth a pull off a small device from the roof of my mouth. It was stuck there with some kind of weird glue stuff, not really sure exactly what it was. Anyways, all I have to do is hold the device over the computers. Everything on the drives will be sent back to a secure computer back at the Office. Once received, someone will activate a beacon that will light up the device green or red. Green if they have what they need and I can come home, or red if they didn't get anything usable and I have to stay under. Green is everyone's favorite color.
So now that's what I'm doing. Waiting. And getting impatient. How hard is it to check over the stuff and let me know if it's good?! Do these people not know that I don't have all the time in the world to hang out in here. Waiting, waiting, waiting... GREEN! Yes! Time to go home and get away from these freaks. I walk out of the room...
And run smack into some sort of security guard looking person.
"What were you doing in there?" Hand on gun. Think of something quickly, Kaya.
"The old man passed out. I got scared a-a-and I went looking for someone. I only was in there for a little I promise..." Haha that'll do the trick.
"Come with me now." Before I even have a chance to react I feel myself being dragged down the hallway. Literally dragged. I actually would prefer the dragging than this though, because now I find myself in a tiny room with no windows and a bolted door.
Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit! I have no way to contact anyone back at the Office and now I have no idea what's happening. Come on Kaya, you can think of something. Only I've never been in a situation like this before. I'm always in control. How could I have let something like this happen?! It's all Ryan's fault. If he didn't make me go completely boy crazy every time I think of him I would have been able to focus more. Even though I'm mad at him, all I can do is think about him with a smile on my face.

Gah, sorry this is so short, only 2 pages :[ It always seems so much longer when I'm writing it on word though so when I find a good stopping spot for the chapter I never really notice how short it will show up when I move it over here. Oh well, enjoy and comment :]

PS. Music video on the side. Not really sure if it actually has anything to do with the chapter but I've been listening to it on repeat. It's addicting... so listen to it :P Kay bye :]
