This scene begins a day before the test. The students are having classes while Patricia is at the backyard crying. Patricia was heavily beaten the past night by her step-dad, Alfred. Silvia and Jide walk up to her as the sequence of events also begins to drift.

(Lessons are going on while Patricia takes an excuse)

Patricia: Excuse me sir,

Mr. Tony: Yes, Patricia?

Patricia: Sir, please I really need to excuse myself.

Mr. Tony: Patricia! Patricia! Patricia! How many times did I call you?

Patricia: Three times sir.

Mr. Tony: You need to be serious this term. You are having tests tomorrow and your teacher has bought out time to give you the area of concentration for the topic that will come out. Now you're leaving the classroom? You know what, just go!

Patricia: Thank you sir. (She heads out of the classroom. After some few minutes, Jide too leaves the classroom, so does Silvia).

Jide: Patricia are you okay?

Patricia: (weeping) Let me be! Leave me alone! You will never be the one I want! I don't need your help at all! For no just course will I ever want to see someone like you beside me!

Silvia: Patricia enough! No one hates you! Stop it!

Jide: It's okay. The kids are having classes. This Is no place to settle an issue like this.

Silvia: I don't care. I've had enough! If you want to be my friend and you want the best for yourself, speak up and let others help you. I'm done.

Patricia: (mumbling in tears) You can go, I don't need you anymore. You hate me. Walk away. You good for nothing animal!

Silvia: (Walks up to Patricia and gives her a resounding slap) I hope that wakes you up.

Jide: (Patricia faints) Oh my God! Why did you? Patricia? Patricia? Let's take her to the sick bay! Hold her legs! Hold it properly!

(In the sick bay)

Nurse Titi: Patricia, Patricia, can you see me?

Patricia: Yes... (dizzy)

Nurse Titi: Ok, I feel she needs to rest. She wasn't feeling too good. Although, after sprinkling water on her face, it is advisable for her to relax. Silvia do you mind if we have a talk outside?

Silvia: Ok ma.

Nurse Titi: Please, Jide do you mind stepping out so she could get some rest? I don't want anyone around her now. She needs to rest, at least, before the end of the day.

Jide: No problem, ma.

Nurse Titi: Thank you.

(At the end of the day, students check up on Patricia and most junior students mock her as they walk past the sick bay. Jide later comes alone to meet Patricia and Nurse Titi again after everyone was on their way home).

(KNOCK)

Nurse Titi: Yes, come in.

Jide: Hi, its me. I came to see Patricia.

Nurse Titi: Oh okay.

Jide: Hey, Patricia are you alright?

Patricia: Yes, I am. Thank you Jide. I mean, I never like to hurt people's feelings but I just have a lot going through my mind now and I practically cannot understand the way I handle things. Really, I'm so sorry.
