After a situation that Patricia must have viewed rather embarrassing and disturbing; she returned to Daniella. In a seemingly cold catch of feelings; the two failed to notice completely each other's sight of the story. The next day, Patricia is marvelled at how fortunate her so-called unfortunate life plays out. Jide who tries to consolidate, is being ignored by her.

Patricia: (Knocks) Mother?

Daniella: (Opens the door) what do you want from me?

Patricia: Mother, I know that I'll be one of the last people you would really want to see right now but I just need you to listen to me.

Daniella: Go away, (slams door)

Patricia: (Sobbing) Mother, please, Mother please listen to me. Mother I promise I'll be a good girl. Mother I have no one else.

Daniella: (Laments) better return to that your so-called boyfriend, Go away, go back. Don't tell me you have no one else.

Patricia: (groans) Mother, open the door! Open the door! You wicked woman! You ruined my life. Make sure you open this door by the time I return. I'll break this door! Open this door. I said I'll break this door. How dare you tell me that I should go back? Why didn't you tell me that I would be this bitter? Why am I seeing colours? How is it even possible for someone to be this unfortunate? Look at me! I'm the topic of the society. I've been foolish. What is gainful in living here anyways?

Daniella: (Opens the door) Come inside.

Patricia: (Laments) Mother why me? Mother, why?

Daniella: Sit.

Patricia: Mother I want to kill myself there is no real benefit to life. Everything I knew...

Daniella: I said sit!

Patricia: (Sits) Why mother?

Daniella: It is not your fault. The situation you find yourself, I found myself years ago. You look so deranged, undervalued, pulsed with pain and pain and more pain.

Patricia: Mother, I am sorry.

Daniella: (Gets a bottle of whiskey from the shelf) he chased you didn't he?

Patricia: (Sobs) it's not like he chased me...

Daniella: (Gets a glass and pours some whiskey in it) I asked a question! Did he chase you?

Patricia: It was not his fault, his mother...

Daniella: Patricia! You don't see it, do you? The very thought of having men in your life is just something that cannot be comprehended. They look like roses in the garden, so beautiful. So special. Unique, they have great taste. Engaging but that moment you lose yourself. My daughter, you lose it all. Here (Hands a glass of whiskey to her). They bite like they are specimens of venom, they poison your ability to think. They make you lesser than yourself. Look at me. No! You can't even look at me. You know why? You're a victim too. (Chuckles). I own nothing. Absolutely nothing. The only thing I own now is Simon. I can't brag of owning you.

Patricia: Mother, I'm sorry.

Daniella: It's not your fault. My blood runs through you. Just look at your brother sleep. We could have being one perfect family but here I am. Wearing rags as cloth, sipping whiskey like water; running dry like an aids patient; anyways; you have a better chance to redeem yourself. You're still young. Young like I was. Poor like I was. Stupid like I was. Drink up! It helps kill the pain. Drink, so you'll go to bed. I'll be in the room.
