I sat there bawling my eyes out as my mother scolded me. "How could you do this to me?" She exclaimed. I stared at her with guilty eyes. "First you make up this outrageous story about Shawn touching you and now you-" she took a deep breath. "And now you're a homosexual?" I could hear her voice cracking. "You know that's against our religion, right? And what will everyone at church think if they found out?" She looked at me with so much disgust in her eyes. Just as my mother was getting ready to open her mouth to say something else, we heard a car horn honking outside. "That's Diamond." I said quietly. My mother crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. "You're not going anywhere." She sternly said before walking away. I pulled out my phone to tell Diamond to leave:
Me: Go without me, my mom isn't too happy right now 😒
Bestie 💎❤️: Damn, what happened?
Me: She found out about Shay 😩
Bestie 💎❤️: OMG HOW!!
Me: I left my phone unlocked around her and she went through our messages
Bestie 💎❤️: Let me know what happens 😬

Just then my mom walked back into the room. "So are you messing with Diamond too?" She said with disgust in her voice. "No! Diamond is my best friend, I've never looked at her that way!" I spat. She folded her arms and deeply exhaled, "You really think I'm supposed to believe that Melanie?" I scoffed and mumbled under my breath.
After hours of being bashed and belittled, my mother was finally finished yelling at me. She took my phone, monitored what I watched on tv, and made me cut ties with all of my friends.
