Chapter 4

"Oh alright. You'll sit in the back next to Daniel.". I look over to the back of the class and see the most gorgeous boy. He had the beautiful blue eyes and light brown hair. He looked up at me and gave me a little smile. I walk over to my seat and sit down. I look at him again and see that he was reading a book. "A classic", I said to him. He looked up at me, "You like Romeo and Juliet?", he asked me. "Of course. I'm in love with their love", I explained. He gave a little giggle, "You do realize they kill them selves right?", he asked. We both laugh. "I'm y/n", I said. He said with a smile, "Daniel". So for the rest of the class we just talked about Shakespeare.

End of class...
You start to get up from your seat when you felt a tap on the shoulder. You turn around and see Daniel. He looked at your schedule and his smile faded. "We only have this class together", he said sadly. I also frowned, "Aw man". We went our separate ways.

History
I walk into my history class and I see a familiar face. Zach. I gave him a little smile. I explained to the teacher I was new. "Go sit next to Jonah". I look around the class to find Jonah and when he heard his name he turned around. He looked at me up and down and gave a little smirk.

Zach's POV
Y/n and I had History together. She went up to the teacher and Mr. Fronziach told her to sit next to Jonah. I mean I like Jonah and all but he's a player and when I saw him look at my stepsister up and down and had a little smirk on his face I just wanted to punch him right there but I didn't I just gave him a little shove. "Dude!". "What?", he asked. I said protectively, "That's my stepsister! Don't get any ideas Marais!", He looked at me and smiled, "That's your stepsister? She's hot.". I rolled my eyes, "I'm serious Jonah". He shook his head and went back to work.

Your POV
After Jonah looked me up and down I saw Zach lightly hit him. Was Zach being overprotective or jealous? So i took my seat in front of Jonah. I started to do my work and someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around, it was Jonah. "Hey, I'm Jonah". He had this nice deep raspy voice. Is it possible to fall in love with a voice because I think I just did. I stopped staring after a couple of seconds, "Oh I'm y/n". "Were you staring y/n?" he asked. "Oh uh, no. Of course not", I said nervously. He gave me a little piece of paper with his number on it. I turned around and continued with my work with a smile on my face.

Zach's POV
I swear if he hurts y/n I'm going to kill him.

Your POV
It was finally lunch time. I was at the cafeteria looking for a place to sit. "Y/n!", I heard someone call out. I look around and I see Jonah. "Hey wanna come sit with me and my friends?", he asked with a sweet smile. I nodded and we walked to the table. We get to the table and I see Zach, Daniel and two other guys. One with blonde hair and the other with curly hair. Jonah and I sit down, "Guys this is y/n. Zach's new stepsister", Jonah said. I say hi to everyone and I go to say hi to Daniel, "Oh we already know each other", Daniel said with a smile. Zach looked at me all confused. "We have English together", I explained. So for the rest of lunch we just talked and laughed. The bell rings to go to your next class. "Oh um y/n, do you want to go to a party Friday night with us?", Jonah asked. In my head I was conflicted. I've never been to a high school party before but then again it isn't really my scene. "Oh I don't know, that's not really my thing", I said. Jonah made a sad face, "Oh please". I gave a little laugh and said, "Okay fine". He smiled and waved goodbye. Zach comes up to me with an angry face. "Y/n you're not going to that party!".
