Chapter 12

I hear my stupid annoying alarm go off. I roll over on my stomach and put my pillow over my head trying to drown out the annoying sound. A few moments later I decided to shut it off. I turn over on my back and look at the ceiling. After a couple minutes I finally dragged myself out of bed and started getting ready. I look over at the flowers Daniel had given to me on my birthday and smiled. He was now my boyfriend. I have a boyfriend. Once I finish getting ready I head downstairs. I go into the kitchen and fix myself up some cereal. I sit down at the dining table and start eating. Zach comes and sits across from me not much later.

Z: "Uh, you have to hurry up, Jonah's waiting outside", he said while pointing outside.
Y: "Oh, sorry I forgot to tell you, Daniel's picking me up"
Z: "Daniel?"
Y: "Yeah, I mean we are dating", I said while taking another bite of my cereal.
Z: "Excuse me? You're what?"
Y: I roll my eyes, "Relax, he's a great guy". He rolled his eyes playfully.
Z: "Yeah whatever see you at school", he said while walking out.

Jonah's POV
I see Zach walking out of the house. Just Zach. He comes in the car and we do our bro handshake.

Jo: "Hey what's up man? Where's y/n?"
Z: "Oh you didn't hear?", I shake my head. "Her and Daniel are dating so he's taking her to school from now on".

My whole body filled with rage when I heard those 5 words. "Her and Daniel are dating". How could she date Daniel? I mean- why do I care if she dates him? It's probably for the best anyways.

We drive off and head to school.

Your POV
I finished eating and put my dishes in the sink. Daniel texted me that he was here. I grabbed my backpack and locked the front. Daniel was waiting outside the car waiting for me. Once he sees me he has a bright smile on his face. Ugh he's so adorable.

D: "Good morning my love", he said while kissing my cheek.
Y: "Good morning", I replied with a smile.

He opens the door for me and I hop in. Once I was fully in, he gently closed the door and went over to his side. He starts the car and we drove off to school. Not much happened in the car besides us holding each other's hands and singing. We finally got to school and Daniel parked right next to Jonah's car where the rest of the group was standing next to. We both get out of the car and Daniel catches up to me and grabs my hand and spins me around so I'm facing him. We look at each other for a moment and start to kiss.

Z: "Gross! Get a room!", I heard Zach yell at us.

We pulled away and started laughing. Daniel put his arm around my shoulders and we walked up to the group. When we stop walking he kisses my cheek and I smile. Everyone was laughing at a joke Zach made, except for one person. Jonah Marais. I make eye contact and he's giving Daniel and I a look, anger, jealousy, both? I look down at the ground and then back at everyone else except Jonah.

The bell rang to go to class and the group started dispersing. Daniel and I were walking to our class but I let go of his hand. He look at me confused.

Y: "I'm gonna go to the restroom real quick"
D: "I'll wait for you"
Y: "No go ahead I'll catch up"

He gave me a kiss on the cheek and went to class. I turn around and see Jonah walking with his head down. I started walking to him and stopped right in front of him so he would stop and have to look up. He looked at me and rolled his and pushed me out the way, and continued walking. I start to catch up to him and I'm finally at the same pace as him.

Y: "What's wrong with you?"

He looks at me and shakes his head with a smile, but it wasn't a happy smile, more of like a sarcastic one.

Y: "Are you going to answer me or just ignore me?". He stops and turns to me.
Jo: "I don't think your new little boyfriend would be too happy if he saw us right now in the hallway alone together, now would he?"
Y: "Okay what's with the attitude?"
Jo: "Don't have one". Bullshit. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get to class. And just like that he was gone.

It was finally lunch time and honestly, I was dreading it. I didn't want to see Jonah. What was up with him earlier? I start walking up to my locker and start putting my books away. Was Jonah jealous? Does he have feelings for me? Or did he hate me? As I'm in my thoughts I felt arms wrap around my waist and I jumped up a little. I turn around and see that it's Daniel.

Y: "Don't do that! You almost gave me a heart attack", I say while hitting his shoulder and then grabbing onto my chest where my heart is.
D: "Sorry, will this make up for it?", he asked then starting kissing my lips.

I heard a locker slam shut, which made Daniel and I stop kissing. I see that it was Jonah who slammed his locker and was staring at Daniel and I. We just stared at each other for a couple of seconds and then he started walking towards the cafeteria. I frown but then look back at Daniel and smile.

D: "Let's to go eat", he said and I nodded as he grabbed my hand.

We made it to the cafeteria and I saw our group and we started walking towards them. Once Daniel and I were about to sit down Jonah looks up at us, shakes his head and leaves. He left the whole group all confused.

Y: "What was that about?", I asked but no one answered.

I start to get up to go after him when someone held my hand.

D: "Where are you going?"
Y: "I'm going to see if he's okay"

I get up and walk in the direction Jonah went in. I looked left to right and I see him walking so I run up to him calling his name but he just kept walking and ignored me. I finally caught up to.

Y: "What's up with you?"
Jo: "I don't know what you're talking about". Bullshit.
Y: "You know damn well what I'm talking about. What's going-"
Jo: "Why are you with him!", he shouted.
Y: "W-what?"
Jo: "You heard me". I looked at him and then he pulled me into a closet, the janitors closet.
Y: "You know this is technically kidnapping", he puts his index finger on my lips to tell me to shut up.
Jo: "Why are you with him?", he asked again, but this time whispering.
Y: "What do you mean 'why am I with him'? maybe because, oh I don't know, because I like him!", I started to shout but he put his hand over my mouth. I ripped his hand off me and push him away, "Get off me!". I wiped my mouth off and tried to leave but he was blocking the door. "Why do you even care who I'm with Jonah?", I asked calmly.

He looked down at the floor and then turned to walk out. And soon enough he left. Why was he acting like this? I've never been more confused in my life until this very moment.
