YOUR POV:
I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring and slowly opened my eyes, the sun blinding me.
It's Monday. At my new school.

Also I really just fucking hate Monday's.

I groggily walked into my bathroom and brushed my teeth

I groggily walked into my bathroom and brushed my teeth. After finishing my skincare I walked into my room and my heart plummeted...

What the hell do I wear?!

Boxes covered my floor and I frantically looked through them for clothes. I put on my favorite pair of mom jeans and a plain long sleeve red shirt, hoping not to stand out much to my new classmates. I wanted a drama free, easy year, flying under the radar.

I brushed my hair and put mascara and a little bit of concealer on. I stood in front of my mirror, glancing over my reflection, and shrugged.

Good enough.

I put my jacket on and got into my car and tried to figure out what to listen to. I finally decided on Awkward Silence by Stray Kids. I began driving to school singing along.

My mom was already at school early to get her classroom set up.

My mom and I moved here partly because she was offered a teaching job and mainly because we needed to get out of our hometown after my father passed away a few months back.

He died in a car accident after his car slipped on black ice and went into a lake. He lost consciousness on impact.
Not a day passes when I don't think of him.
These past couple of months have been hard, but my mom and I are making it through together. My mom is my rock and I come to her with everything. She's my best friend.

I finally made it to school and parked in a spot close to what I assumed was the front of the school. I locked my car and walked inside, shivering slightly from a mixture of the chilly breeze, but mostly my anxiety.

The school was much nicer than my other school. Because I came slightly early, not a lot of people were here.

Thank god.

I walked to the office and sat on a couch, like my mom instructed, waiting for the principal to come out and meet me. I nervously fiddled my thumbs together and bit my lip. I'm not the biggest fan of change and I've never been the "new girl". I tried to stay positive and hoped for the best.

A few minutes later a tall man in about his late 40's came out and greeted me. I stood and shook his hand, smiling.

"Hello there! You must be Y/N! Your mother has told me a lot about you and I am so excited that you both are here."

He seemed like a kind, genuine man and I was grateful to be welcomed by him so warmly.

"Thank you so much! I can't wait to see what this year has to bring" I responded, trying to sound as normal as possible despite the adrenaline and fear pumping through my body.

"Here is your schedule and locker number, I'll let you look around and get situated! Feel free to come to me if you need anything" he said handing me a paper.

I smiled and turned around to find my locker and look around the new school.

As I set my backpack down I began to put my books in my locker. I accidentally dropped one and reached down to grab it when a hand met mine. I looked up suddenly and was greeted with a girl my age smiling at me. She picked it up and handed it to me.

"Hi! I'm Esma and I assume you're new?"

I nodded slightly, taking the book from her.
"Thank you, I'm Y/N."

She looked at my schedule I was holding and grabbed it from me. She quickly scanned it and looked up at me excitedly.

"We have 1st, 2nd, and 5th period together AND lunch! You can walk with me to our classes and I can show you around everywhere!! Aaaand catch you up on all you need to know about this school." She said laughing slightly.

"Perfect! I would love that. It looks like class is about to start, should we go ahead and go?" I asked, extremely grateful to bump into this girl.

She nodded and helped put the rest of my books up. She then grabbed my arm pulling me excitedly to what I assumed our first period class: Chemistry. With my mother.
I inwardly groaned, I love my mom but I do not necessarily want her to be my teacher... especially at my new school.

As we continued walking, a door suddenly was thrown open and before I could react, it slammed straight into my face.
Esma gasped and I fell to the ground dropping my books.

That hurt like a bitch.

I looked up and saw three guys standing there... looking down at me.

Aw shit.

Hope you enjoyed the first chapter! It's kinda short only because I decided to split this one in half and make it the second chapter. Future chapters will be longer don't worry :)
