Hinata's POV

It's been a week since we have been traveling back to Konoha. It's been a week since I saw him, the only person I wanted to see.

He was and still is the reason why I continued to become stronger, I did it for him and for me. I wanted to prove him that I am no longer that weak girl that he left three years ago, I am stronger in my own way, and because of that I could say I am proud of myself.

"Hey Hina-Chan look, it's the gates!" I heard Kiba say as he pointed to the large brown gates.

"The guards are asleep again...." Shino pointed out making me chuckle lightly.

It's true the guards are always asleep and Kushina-San always makes terrible punishments when they are caught sleeping.

"Let's go report to the hokage." I announced and they nodded.

"Wait... are we gonna tell the hokage about Naruto?" Kiba asked out making us stop in mid tracks.

"Yes... we can't hide the fact that we saw Naruto healthy and fine. The hokage should know about him after all he is his son." Shino said quietly.

"Let's go, I need to do something." I managed to speak, I hate the fact that we couldn't bring him back with us, I also hate the fact that I couldn't see Sakura, I wonder how she is? I wonder why they left.

When we got to the Hokage's office we knocked and entered when he said a faint 'come in'.

"Hokage Minato, the mission went as planned, it was successful. We managed to trap and kill the bandits" I said loud and formal without stuttering like I used to.

"Very well I'm impressed, you three did great without your sensei being there with you all. I'm very proud, great job team. You may go now, rest, you deserve it." He said with a sad smile.

Since the day that Naruto, and Sakura left Minato, Kushina and Kakashi-San their happiness slowly disappeared. Kushina and Minato-San hid their sadness behind a happy facade. But Kakashi-San doesn't hide the fact how depressed he is.

"Hokage, we have something important to tell you." Kiba started out. Catching the hokage's interest.

"We found Naruto in a village near the wave village. We tried to bring him back... but he out runned us and disappeared. We tried finding things out about his appearance, and found out he had been staying in that village for a month and a half, and that he is traveling with a old man." Shino explained as Kiba shaked of how frustrated he was that he couldn't bring Naruto back.

And what did I do? Since the day he left I search for him day and night over using my byakugan. Until I was to the point of chakra exhaustion, I asked everyone that might've known Naruto and even talked to the boy he was with that day. I spend two nights crying my eyes out for not being strong enough to bring him and Sakura back.

"Is that so? What about Sakura ?" Minato-san's voice brought me back to the reality.

"We only saw your son, sir. We didn't feel Sakura's chakra anywhere near by the village Naruto was at." Shino continued.

"D-did my son say anything?" Minato-san's voice cracked.

"He said he and Sakura will eventually return to Konoha but not yet, he said it wasn't time." I managed to choke out swallowing the lump in my throat and the ignore the sting in my eyes.

"Thank you for letting me know, you may go now." Minato-San said to us with a sad smile and shining red eyes.

We bowed to him and when we left the office we heard sniffles, and murmuring that was difficult to make out what the words were. But one thing was for sure, the great honorable hokage was in tears inside his office.

" see ya guys around." Kiba excused him self and jumped out a window.

"I have to go too, see ya around Hinata." Shino said as he disappeared in a turmoil of insects.

I let out a sigh and headed to the Uchiha household.

Once I was in front of the door I knocked only once, and the door swung open revealing Mikoto-San.

"Hi there Hina-Chan! You are finally back from your mission, Sasuke has been waiting for you to return since yesterday. I'll go get him right now, please come on in." She said kindly, and happily.

"Thank you, Mikoto-San." I said politely and entered the household making my way to the living room to wait for Sasuke to come by.

After a minute or two, Sasuke came down with bags under his eyes contrasting his pale skin. For sure he looks like a real emo now.

"Hey Hina-Chan." He said with a smile.

"Hey Sasuke, i have news." I let out with a heavy sigh at the end, that small gesture caught his attention. " during my mission We found Naruto but he left out of our grasp, he disappeared from the village and we couldn't find him anywhere. Sakura wasn't there with him, my best guess is that they went separate ways, but I'm not sure, the only thing I'm for sure is that Naruto is fine and safe, I wish to say the same thing for Sakura but I'm not sure." I let out as silent tears escaped my eyes, why I'm I crying? Is it the impact of seeing my long time love that I haven't seen nearly three years ago? Or is it the fact that i couldn't bring my two best friends back... I don't know anymore.

"So the dobe is fine. That's good." Sasuke let out after a while in silence.

"Hinata, I have something to tell you." He let out making me look at him curiously, wiping my tears away.

"Kakashi-sensei and i are going to a S ranked mission. We'll be gone as long as it takes to bring someone important to this village." He let out.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"Tsunade Senju And Jiraiya." He said as he massaged his left temple out of stress.

"I-I understand, good luck Sasuke. And if you happen to find them, please bring them back home." I said to him feeling tears well up again. "Please bring Naruto back to me..... please bring Sakura back too." I managed to say as I started to sniffle and bawled my eyes out. "Please bring them back."

"I will. I promise." He said as he gave me a hug and patted my back soothingly.

After talking and hanging out with Sasuke I left to go home and rest and see my family that waited for me anxiously, specially Hanabi. She hated when I took too long to be home.

"Welcome home, Hina-Chan." Neji greeted me when I got home. My eyes were still puffy and the first thing that he did when he saw me was, smacking me lightly on the forehead with the back of this hand and pulling me into a hug. This was unexpected.

"Shh, don't cry. Now let's go inside so we can talk about it. Your parents and Hanabi went out, so we have time to talk about the story behind those puffy eyes of yours." He said and I smiled sadly.

I'm so happy he is my family, I'm happy I saw Naruto again, but next time we meet again, he won't leave me, he'll stay for real because that's what he promised a long time ago. And a Uzumaki never breaks their promises no matter what, I believe in him, for the simple reason is that he is still the owner that owns my heart and soul.

He is my true and only love.
