QUESTION 1. What is your name (or nickname/pen-name if preferred)?
— I like to go by the pen-name, Boujee.

QUESTION 2. What started you on the path to writing?
— I remember being in the sixth grade and meeting a group of friends who loved to watch anime and write anime fictions. I didn't care much for anime but I loved writing the fictions. I used to write in notebooks and write my little stories page by page.

QUESTION 3. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer, and specifically in the genre of urban fiction?
— I realized I had a love for writing when noticed I had the patience to write my stories by hand. I didn't really have any knowledge of urban fiction until my friend introduced me to the world of Wattpad. I started off with Mindless Behavior fan-fictions and it paved the way for general urban stories. I loved how interesting some of the storylines were and figured why not give it a try myself?

QUESTION 4. When did you write your first book and how old were you?
— My FIRST book ever was an overly dramatic anime story written in an old spiral notebook I bought
in sixth grade. However, the first book I took seriously was Partner n' Crime, my first story on Wattpad. I was probably around thirteen/fifteen when I wrote it.

QUESTION 5. Who are some of your favorite authors on and off Wattpad?
— It's sad because I don't have a lot of time to read anymore so it's hard to have a favorite or get familiar with any author but if I had to pick from Wattpad, it would be UrbanQueen

QUESTION 6. How long have you been writing?
— About six years with many years ahead.

QUESTION 7. How do you think you've evolved creatively?
— I believe I've done a great job with keeping things in perspective. I love when a story is relatable and that's something I've been working hard to achieve. Sometimes I can be a little out there and write scenarios that aren't likely to happen, but as I write more and gain more experience, it's easier to get a more realistic viewpoint without excluding my ideas.

QUESTION 8. Why did you choose to write in your particular field or genre? If you write more than one, how do you balance them?
— I choose to write urban fiction because I believe it's something I can relate to so it just comes natural. I live in a very ethnic city with people who come from different places so my world is very diverse. Everyone has a different story with different hardships and I believe a lot of urban fictions touch on those hardships. A lot of us can relate to the lack of one parent, involving ourselves in toxic relationships, being in toxic environments, dealing with traumatic and/or life changing experiences, etc. I don't write in other fields or genres (anymore) but I'm definitely open to start.
