When he finally wins Entertainer of the year

It was CMA Award night and you and Keith had just gotten home. Keith quickly filmed a thank you video for the fans. Then once he's done.
He comes over and hugs you and you hug him back. "I'm so proud of you Sweetie." You say as you kiss his head and rub his back.
You stay hugging him for a minute. Then he pulls away from you tears in his eyes. "What's wrong bud?" You ask.
"I'm just so happy I won" he says through his tears. "I'm happy for you too. Sweetheart." You say to him.
"I wish my dad was here to see this" he says weakly. "Are crying because of that too? Because you wish your dad was here?" You ask.
He nods and whimpers.
You pull him close for another hug. He cries for a long time.
Once he finally calms down he pulls away from your embrace and wipes his eyes with his hand and wipes the snot on his sleeve. "Oh sweetheart" you say gently as you get a tissue from your pocket and hand it to him.
He takes it from you and blows his nose.
Then goes to throw it away in the garbage can.
Then he walks back over to you. "At least your mom will get it when you send it to her." You say. He nods and smiles. "Yeah," he says and sniffs. "Come on let's get you to bed." You say. As you take his hand in yours and lead him upstairs to the bedroom. You turn to face him.
You kiss his face then pull him into a hug. "I love you so much baby. I'm so proud of you." You whisper into his ear. You kiss his check then pull away from him and let go of his hand.
Then you go and get into bed. Keith joins you. You pull him close to you. He snuggles up against you.
Before falling asleep.
You smile and kiss his head before laying your head down next to his and fall asleep too.
