1 - The Phone Call

Bethany's P.O.V.

Ring! Ring! Now who? I thought, annoyed. I always seem to get interrupted when I'm halfway through watching Mean Girls. I picked up my phone and looked at my screen. Connor? I was taken aback to find that Connor was the one that called me, out of all my hundreds of contacts. If you have been living under a rock, Connor Franta is a very famous YouTuber, just like me. Truthfully, I haven't actually met him before. It happens that I got his number through talking on YouTube comments. He's one of my favorite YouTubers, and I think of him as an inspiration. He always looked good in his videos, and truthfully, I think I may actually have a secret crush on him though I'm yet to see him in real life. I took a deep breath, and picked up the call.

B: "Hey, Connor?"

C: "Oh Beth! Phew. I thought you weren't gonna pick up."

Did he just call me Beth? But...

B: "Ohh haha its good I picked up then."

As I said that, I found myself smiling, even though he couldn't see it.

C: "So um you're gonna be coming into town next week right?"

Connor lives in a different state than me. I live in New York while he lives in Minnesota.Something definitely to be sad about.

B: "Yeah I'll be there for my world tour, what's up?"

C: "I thought that since you're coming we should just meet up or something. I've been wanting to see such a famous YouTuber like you real life.

I felt like dying when he said that. How could he be so charming?

B: "Ohh that's cool! Of course we could meet up, I mean, I've been wanting to meet you too!"

I smiled stupidly to myself, just thinking about meeting him in real life.

C: "Really? That's so cool! Its an honour for me, Beth."

Did he just?

B: "Hahaha, I see you've been starting to call me Beth now."

C: "Yeah.. sorry about it, its what I get for watching your videos so much.. I mean..."

OhMyGosh. He watches my videos?!

B: "Ooh okay then, never mind! So, are we good to arrange a day?"

I.. decided to be cool about it.

C: "Sure, anytime you're free!"

B: "How about I check my schedule and text you later?"

C: "Great!"

B: "So I'll see you then?"

C: "Yeah okay chat more later! Bye!"

B: "Bye!"

And so, our short conversation ended like that. I sorta admit, I am kinda bumped that it only lasted a few minutes. Oh well, its my fault, since I was the one that said bye first. Geez, stupid move, Bethany Noel Mota.

Connor's P.O.V.

I was watching my secret YouTube crushes' video, when I noticed that she had uploaded one not too long ago. I clicked on it, and watched as she talked about her upcoming world tour. At the end, she mentioned all the countries and states she will be going to. I was praying that New York, where I live, would be one of her destinations, and much to my surprise, it was. I like her a lot, and I hope that maybe I get a chance to meet her. Maybe I should call her and ask? I picked up my phone and scrolled through my contacts. I clicked on the contact named 'Beth' and called her number.

...five rings, six rings, seven rings... eleven rings, twelve rings...

I was about to hang up when she answered,

"Hey, Connor?"

Just like that, our conversation began. Just like that, I accidentally told her I watch her videos very often. Just like that, she agreed to text me when she was free so we could meet up. Just because of that short phone call, I was going to meet my YouTube crush in real life.
