20 - The Time (pt. 1)

Connor's P.O.V

It has been 3 days since our first ever (or second?) fight with each other, and Beth will be leaving in 2 days.

2 days.

Just 2 more days until I may never see her again.

I lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling above me, wondering what I should do.

The thought of her leaving me made me shudder.

I didn't want to lose her.

Never ever to any other guy.

I want to be the one.

The one she spends the rest of her life with.

The one that makes her happy everyday.

The one she can trust and rely on.

I want to be the one.

I sighed.

That was impossible.

All I'm actually doing is laying there wishing.

I had to take action if I wanted it to happen.

I sat up and grabbed my phone off my bed side table

It was time.

I opened the group conversation for the O2L guys and I, composing a text.

'Group meeting downstairs now.'

I click the send button before I got off the bed and went out of the room.

I met Sam at the corridor, coming out of his room.

He questioned me upon seeing me.

S: "Why's there a sudden meeting?"

C: "You'll find out soon."

I ran down the stairs, away from the confused Sam.

When I got downstairs, Ricky and Kian were already sitting at the table.

I joined them and Sam came soon after.

The last of the group, JC and Trevor came trodding down the stairs after a while.

When we were all seated, they all started asking questions, just as I thought.i

I put my hand up, telling them to stop talking.

It's a thing we do in O2L.

They finally shut their mouths.

I took a deep breath, before saying, "Its time."

K: "For?"

The boys all looked at me confused.

C: "The plan. It has to take action now. She's leaving in two days."

JC: "Ooohhh you mean Beth's proposal."

I nodded.

They all started going crazy.

C: "Guys please help me."

R: "Oh course we will."

T: "We will but... how do we start?"

Connor: "Well... she told me once she prefers silvee to gold and likes plain things but nothing else related."

Kian: "That's good enough, we'll just buy a plain silver ring."

C: "Hmm..."

I had booked dinner for two at a fancy restaurant after agreed to go with me and had everything set up.

Kian and I had came to the jewelry store to pick out a ring for the proposal.

Saleswoman: "If you are looking for something like that, we have just the one for you sir."

The lady showed me a thin silver ring that had a very small diamond attached on the top. It was simple but nice.

K: "That one looks good."

C: "It does."

I nodded in agreement.

C: "I'll buy this in..."

C: "What's the average finger size of a woman?"

Saleswoman: "About XXX (size)."

C: "Hmm do you think that's around her size?"

Kian: "Should think so. If I'm not wrong her finger is quite small right?"

I nodded in agreement.

C: "I'll just get it in XXX (size) then."

Saleswoman: "Yes sir."

I pulled out my wallet and passed her my credit card as she placed the ring into a black box.

She swiped my credit cars and I keyed in my code, before we thanked here and taking the box, left the shop.

I hope she'll like it.
