8 - The Fan Meeting

Connor's P.O.V

After lunch, we headed back to the fan meeting site 30 minutes before her fan meeting.

C: "So do I wait here? Or what?"

We were standing in the gigantic open space, in front of the stage, where all the fans will be standing. I had parked my car near by and came out with her.

B: "Nah, come backstage! You'll be so lonely alone!"

She giggled, giving me her famous wink.

She... she just invited me backstage...

C: "Oh! Umm that's a sudden invitation and I'm not even sure if the stage crew will allow me in..."

I fiddled with my fingers, looking at my shoes.

B: "Don't worry I'll just tell them you're with me! Geez, why all the worries? Come on!"

She laughed, dragging me by the arm. I blushed. I really like how Beth could just change the person I am. She's the one, the one that can help me find the true person I really am.

Bethany's P.O.V

We were backstage, talking and making jokes, laughing and giggling together in my dressing room. Then, much to my annoyance, my stylist barged into the room, disrupting my time with Connor.

Stylist: "Beth! We have to hurry and get you changed! Oh my, just look at the time!"

My stylist pointed to the clock in panic, which read 1.35.

I rolled my eyes. Only 5 minutes had passed, what was she even nagging on about?

B: "Okay... what am I wearing?"

I got off the sofa, unwilling to leave Connor.

Stylist: "Here. Change into this."

She handed me my clothes that was on a hanger; a white shirt that says smile with colorful bubbles in the middle, and a navy blue skater skirt, and a pair of high top sneakers.

I grabbed them from her hand, and made my way to the toilet. As I changed out of my clothes, I could her my stylist talking to Connor. I couldn't hear that well, but I could get the jinx of it.

Stylist: "Hi!"

Connor: "Umm hey.. I'm sorry if I'm not supposed to be here Beth just invited me."

Stylist: "No no no of course not! I totally understand! Its great to see that Beth is finally dating!"

What are you getting to Kenzie?

Connor: "Oh umm she didn't date before?"

Shit.

Stylist: "Well, she did once in college, but it didn't work out. She hated boys for a really long time because of that one incident and never really wanted to date anymore. She took a really long break from it."

Damn it, Kenzie! Why do you always have to spill the beans?!

Connor: "Oh I see. Umm any idea what the incident was about?"

Stylist: "Yeah I do know it, of course."

Kez don't you dare!

Stylist: "But I don't think I'd say, for all you know, she may not want to tell it to you just yet. I mean, you should be patient with her, the fact that she's finally coming forward to date again even though she's really scared, you should he honored really, that she's doing it for you."

Phew. At least Kez knows better than to tell Connor what happened exactly.

Connor: "Oh um of course! I hope that one day she'll gather her courage to tell me."
