Copter pushed opened the door to Kimmon's private quarters.
“P’Kim?” He called peering inside.
“Ah you’re here.” Kimmon’s stuck his head out and called. “Please come in.”
Copter stepped inside curiously, looking at Kimmon’s living space. It’s small but decorated in a modern style. Something smelled delicious. He followed his nose and ended up in a small yet we’ll equipped kitchen. The small round table is laid for two.
“These are only two places. I thought P’Tae will be eating with us too?” Copter asked thoughtfully.
“P’Tae has an appointment in the afternoon, so I took his meal up for him.” Kimmon said nonchalantly.
“Shall we?” He touched a back of the chair, gesturing for Copter to sit.
Copter sat at the chair pointed out by Kimmon and touched the flower arrangement in the middle of the table. There were two red candles stuck on the iron wrought candlebra on the table. Although the candles aren’t exactly lit, it gave the image of a romantic candle lit dinner. Copter felt shy.
“You didn’t have to go into so much trouble P’Kim.” He mumbled in embarrassment.
“I don’t do stuff halfway.” Kimmon smiled widely. P’Kim has a very nice smile, Copter thought, blinded by the smile for a second.
Kimmon placed two steaming rice plates and started putting few side dishes around them. Copter watched him take out a couple of bottles of Larger.
“Errr… P’Kim?” He called awkwardly. “I don’t drink beer P.” He’s too shy to say that his alcohol tolerance is zero. Just a few sips and he’s three sheets to the wind. Heck even Bas can drink better than him and Bas is only barely legal. No way he’s going to say this to this hot barista. Did he say hot? Ugh… he must be going out of his mind.
“Oh…” Kimmon paused, placing one bottle back. “How about Apple Cider?” Kimmon asked showing another bottle. “It barely has any alcohol.” He raised one eyebrow. There’s nothing Copter could do but nod.
Kimmon placed their beverages on the table and sat down smiling.
“Shall we?” Copter nodded with a faint smile. He took cutlery from the circular spoon holder on the table.
The food tasted heavenly. He grinned at Kimmon.
“This is so amazing P.”
“Told ya.” Kimmon smiled back, spooning rice in to his mouth. “Don’t forgot your drink.” He nodded at the bottle of Apple Cider.
“Oh” Copter lifted the bottle to his lips and took a sip. He was bit surprised at the taste of it. He had never tried it before. He swallowed couple of more mouthfuls, because it tasted great and went well with spicy chicken mixed rice.
