One Final Tale/Sasuke Uchiha.

Getting to Know

"A knight?" Naruto says.

"Yes, that was she is," The Queen says. "It's upsetting to see her born into that."

I looked at the Queen. "Tell me what you know about it?"

"Who are you?" She says.

"Sasuke Uchiha."

She smiles a little, "then why should I tell you? You care for her, don't you?" She says. "Too bad I can't say much about where she comes from. Now, let's get you some rooms."

We got rooms and I headed to the bathroom to hear someone crying. It was like a girl crying and the girl stops crying. The person opened the door. "Sasuke..." It was Night crying. She just pushes me to the side to run towards her room. I just looked at her and looked to the side.

'It must be hard for her.' I felt bad for her.

...

The next day, we were treated in a big buffet in the morning, which it was morning food. Night stands next to the door. "As a knight, I am not allowed to eat at the palace. Enjoy your meal." We took a seat and looked at the big meal, but the guard told us not to eat until the royal family comes in.

"That suck," Naruto says.

Sakura looks down. The family came in. The guard told us to stand up and take a seat when they are seated. We started to eat. I notice Snow couldn't stop looking at me. I try not to make any eye contact and close my eyes. Night was in the corner not able to eat with us. I sneak some food for her in my pocket while they weren't looking.

Once breakfast was over and we were alone to explore the palace. I came across Night. I went up to her.

She smiles, "what can I do for you, Sasuke?"

"Here." I pulled out a bread that was covered in a paper from my pocket to give to her.

She takes it. "Thank you, Sasuke this is kind of you. Can you do me a favor and try not to grab their food to feed me. I am not worthy to eat their food." Night looks to the side with sadness while holding the bread.

"You are worthy, don't allow them to talk you that way."

"Sasuke..." She bit her lower lip as she looks down, "I have no other choice. I am a knight. I have to follow orders. There's no getting out of it." She walks past me and I saw her tears falling.

I just stood there looking at her as she went to her room. I looked to the side and went to explore a little more of the castle. I came across Naruto. He was with Sakura and Kakashi.

Sakura looks at me, "Sasuke." She says happily.

"Sasuke, where is Night?"

I walked up to them, "in her room."

"Have you noticed how unhappy she is?" Sakura says.

"Yeah, I notice. By the way, we should get going by later on the day." Kakashi says. Naruto looks to the side with an upsetting look.

"It seems she doesn't want to be here any longer," Sakura says.

"There you are." It was Night. We turn to her. Night went up to us. "So, anything interesting?" Night smiles.

A guard went up to us. "As a guest of the Princess. The Princess order you all to join her for a cup of hot chocolate. Follow me."

"Hot chocolate?" Naruto says confuse.

We were in the balcony that has a glass over it to look outside. The maids pour our hot chocolate and walk away. Night just stood away from us. "I will like to go out for a walk. It looks pretty good outside, would you join me?" Snow asked us as she took a sip of her hot chocolate.

"Isn't it a little bit dangerous for you, Princess Snow?" Kakashi says.

"No, it isn't. I have you, all-powerful ninjas, but I don't want Night to join us. She remains in the castle."

"No, thanks." I stand up. "If Night isn't going, I don't want to join you."

"As a knight, we must obey the princess." Night says.

"That is right, anything I say, goes. So, I will not accept your no, Sasuke."

I got very mad at her as I said in a hissing tone. "I will not go out with a spoil little brat like you!" I walked away. Night was unable to move. I headed outside and stand out here until I cool off from earlier and soon Naruto joins me.

"Hey, Sasuke." I looked at him. "Have you seen her crying?"

"You too."

"Yeah, the other day Night pulled me into a hug and cried then run off," Naruto says. "I want to learn about her clan. Spirits, and being a knight. I wonder what that's about."

"From the sound of it, it has a mystery behind it," I said. I notice he made both fists. A blue shadow appeared in front of us and pointed behind us. I looked behind to see Night.

"Thank you, Darkness." I looked again it was no longer there. "You guys shouldn't be out here. The Queen will get mad. Let's get inside. I'll order something hot if you like." Night smiles and transforms into Snow. "I'll be back, join me in the dining room." She disappears.

We made it to the dining room. Princess Snow comes in and close the doors and transform back to Night. She smiles, "all done. Dark, Shadow, locks the door while we finish." The cups appeared in front of us and the snacks. It was nicely put together on the table.

"Oh, I grab this for you, Night." Naruto pulled out a cover food from his pocket. He gave it to her. "Thank you, Naruto." Night smiles.

We took a seat and enjoyed our hot chocolate. "It's hard, you know." We look at Night. She was looking down on her hot chocolate. "I can relate to you both without no parents."

I looked down, unable to see her because of that day that she shows me, my parents.

"It's hard to go on without any family members that you know of that is alive that you can kiss on the cheek, and give them a big old hug." Night sounded upset. "When I was a child like around five or six years old. I learned that my parents dump me in that society of Knight because I was able to do things that other toddles won't do. I learn that I wanted to escape to find them and when I found them, the rejected me saying they don't want me. They are better off without me."

I looked at the crackers. "That much be really hard on you," I said.

I looked up at her. Night drinks her hot chocolate and puts it down. "It was. I-I lost all faith in humans and went after spirits. I forced them on how to teach me how to be happy and what is loved by someone. Shadow, Darkness, Dark came into my life. They are monsters, not human souls. They took care of me and stays around me. When I was in the tower. I would get mistreated just displaying a smile or speak out of terms."

Night sighs and puts her head down. "I don't know, anything that is like to be a normal girl, like Sakura that has it all. Parents, friends, and a good life. I can't relate to her. In the tower, we weren't allowed to speak to each other unless we are told to speak. We had rulers and meet all kinds of Queens, Kings, Princess, and Princes from all over the land that's how I got to meet Snow. She still acts the same." She took a sip of the drink.

I did the same and place down the cup, saying. "So, you don't know any other lifestyle because what they teach you."

"That's right, Sasuke. I don't know any other lifestyle because I was never taught anything else. I'm sorry if I come out too strong on my choices. It's the way of a knight. When I first came out of the tower, they took me to Konoha village and left me. I felt like I had freedom, but I didn't enjoy it. I spoke to the spirits and told me about Sasuke. I went to your apartment. That's how I meet you for the first time."
