I wake up and roll over, expecting to see my beautiful girlfriend but instead I'm greeted by an empty, cold bed. I frown and stretch my arms in the air, softly groaning.
I rub away the sleep in my eyes and look around the room and jump seeing Nikki at the door carrying a tray.
"Perfect timing" she says, walking towards me.
I chuckle, sitting up, "And how long have you been there for?" I ask as she sets the tray over my legs. I look down and see the beautiful breakfast she made me: an omelette and bacon and orange juice.
"I just walked in when you were stretching" she tells me and I nod. She hands me a fork and smiles, "Dig in."
"What about you?"
"I don't really like eggs" she says, "You know me, I'm picky" she chuckles and walks around the bed and crawls in, turning on the tv.
"But I know you like bacon" I tell her and wave a piece in front of her face.
"Yeah And I already had some!" she says pushing my hand away. I just shrug and bite into it.
The bacon tasted so good. It was exactly crispy enough. Not too flimsy and not burnt. She did a great job. And tasting the omelette was better! Everything inside it blended so well together and it was seasoned perfectly.
"Damn this is good" I say, wasting no time in eating it.
She laughs and smiles, watching tv, not looking away.
"Fuck marry me these are amazing" I say, taking another bite of the omelette.
I look over at her to see her reaction to those words. To be honest, saying that slipped out of me. I've been thinking a lot about our relationship and I think that marrying her would be nice. But we are young and just started dating. And I don't know how she'll react. She'd probably say no.
I guess my subconscious was telling me that was the thing to do. But I don't know.
I watched as Nikki just smiled to herself again but she rolled her eyes. Good, she knows it was a joke and not an actual proposal.
I finish the breakfast and look over at her, "Thank you, love" I say.
She smiles, starting to stand up. I shake my head, "No! I'll take it" I say, picking up the tray and taking it downstairs to the kitchen. I wash all the dishes that were left out and dry them before putting them back to their spots.
I come back upstairs and Nikki is in the same position as when I left: cuddled in the blankets and watching tv.
I lay back in bed and grab my phone from the nightstand where it had been charging all night.
I look at all the text notifications. some from Robbie and Claire apologizing others from random people wanting to talk to me.
One notification catches my eye, an email from Warner Bros. I quickly open it and see the 2 attached files: a schedule and script.
"I got an email from the movie with my script!" I say excitedly. Nikki looks over at me as I wait click on the script. I didn't really care about the schedule right now, I wanted to read my lines.
"Well, how often do I get to see my actor boyfriend?" she says happily.
"I'm waiting for it to load" I tell her before I get a message that says the file is too big to open on my phone. I groan, "I have to open it on my laptop."
"Well open the schedule, when do you have to go? And where?" she asks.
I do as she says and find my name and corresponding days, times, locations, and lines I need. "I start in a week at a table read in LA at eight in the morning."
She nods, "Not bad, do you read over the whole movie?" she asks, just as curious as I am.
I look to see what lines I need and it says I'm bold letters 'ALL'. "Yup" I say with a chuckle, "But I'm guessing since it's a table read I just need the script and don't need to have it memorized yet."
She nods, "Now go get your laptop!" she says, pushing my side excitedly. I chuckle and close my phone, putting it back on the nightstand as I get up and run downstairs.
I grab my computer from the table and run back upstairs and lay back in bed as it starts up.
It turns on quickly and I open the document which takes a couple minutes to open. I look through the script with Nikki. I don't have many talking parts but I am in a lot of the movie whether it be in the background or just standing next to the talking characters.
"It looks like I'll be seeing a lot of you in that movie" Nikki says, resting her head on my shoulder.
I smile, "Looks like you will" I chuckle.
After about an hour of looking over the script and talking about the movie, I close the laptop.
"So we have a week until I have to go" I tell her with a frown on my face.
"Welllll" she says, avoiding eye contact with me.
"What?" I ask confused.
"I start rehearsals for my summer tour in a few days" she says, still not looking at me directly.
"How many?"
"Two."
I sigh and lay back into my pillow, "Why didn't you tell me?" I ask her. I don't know why she wanted to hide this from me.
"I just wanted to have a good time with you and not feel like we were being rushed" she says, finally looking at me.
"And were you just gonna leave in two days and not tell me?" I ask, starting to get aggravated, "Were you going to just let me be confused as to where you were?"
She shakes her head, "No, Harry please don't get upset with me" she says, "I was going to tell you tomorrow."
I release a deep sigh. I get she was trying to be nice and want our time together before we won't see each other for a while to be genuine, but it's still annoying.
"Where's your rehearsals?"
"At a studio in New York" she says, sitting up and looking down at me.
"Can I come with you?" I ask, "We will get a hotel and I'll hang out in the hotel."
She shakes her head, "Harry, rehearsals are from seven in the morning until ten or even ten thirty at night. It's only for a week and then we do promotional interviews and then a few days of run throughs and then tour."
I shrug, "So?" I could still be able to wake up in the morning with her, and have dinner with her and then sleep with her at night.
"Harry, I won't have time for you" she says and I'll admit those words hurt.
"But I could see you everyday and we can have dinner and I can meet up with you for lunch" I say, trying to get her to let me come with her.
"Harry, I love you and thank you for wanting to come but you're going to be so bored. I won't have time to have lunch or dinner with you. I'll be doing that with the band and the crew with us" she tells me, "You'll see me only at night when I'm ready to sleep."
"That's all the time I want with you" I tell her, "And when you're gone, I'll start practicing my lines so I'm ready for filming."
"And the time change? You're going to be jet lagged for your table read which is really early in the morning and it'll feel a few hours earlier for you."
"Are you trying to make excuses for me not to spend a last few days with you" I ask her.
She stays silent for a little bit before taking a deep breath, "No, I'm not" she says, "Fine. Come with me."
I shake my head, "No. You don't want me there." At this point I'm just messing with her. Inside I'm really excited.
"Then don't come" she says, laying back down.
"No! I'll come!" I say rolling over to face her. She just laughs and winks at me.
I grin and wrap my arm around her, pulling her close to me before I kiss her soft lips.

FanficWe haven't spoke since you went away. Comfortable silence is so overrated. Why won't you ever say what you want to say? Even my phone misses your call by the way. Maybe one day you'll call me and tell me you're sorry too. But you never do.
